      GNCAP ratings mean nothing in India. Our traffic conditions and lack of common sense are the reason for 99% of accidents. If a person doesn't wear a seat belt, GNCAP rating is absolutly useless. Instead of worrying about these ratings, people should be demanding proper road safety laws and educate people how to drive according to a global standard. People in this country don't even have the common sense to know when to use high beams and when not to use them. Stick to a Tata if all you want is a 5 star rating with horrible build quality.

      @@em_india Arre bhai ap ek incident leke pura Seltos ko judge kare. Any vehicle getting into a high speed accident will be totally destroyed. Don't go by just one incident. You should also find out how the car did in other accidents. You will find even Tata with 5 star GNACP was completely destroyed in accidents. There are many factors you are not taking into consideration.

      @em_india Bhai ap same investigation dusra manufacturers ko be karo. Kitne Kia gaadi chalra hai desh me abhi? Out of which 3 accidents have media coverage. What I'm saying is don't go just by GNCAP rating. 3 incidents out of lakhs is not proof that a vehicle is not safe. In that sense, no vehicle is safe. Safety starts with how we drive and how others drive as well as the conditions of the roads we drive on.

    The Seltos seriously caused chaos in the segment where competitors simply couldn't keep up. Obviously good for them, but I can't help thinking about how Honda somewhat messed up their entry into the segment because I was really looking forward to the Elevate being at least unique in its own way, where people could pick it over the others for reasons other than the iVTEC

    • @zigwheels
      @zigwheels  Před 10 měsíci +4

      Yeah. Maybe entering the segment with the BR-V wasn’t the wisest move. An Elevate-like product back in 2015/16 would’ve possibly given the Creta some real competition.
      And honestly, iVTEC too isn’t reason enough by itself. The 1.5 NAs from the competition are just as good, if not better.

    • @reubendias18
      @reubendias18 Před 10 měsíci

      @@zigwheels Somewhat agreed. I feel the B-RV was ahead of its time against the wrong rivals, since the updated one would be great against the Alcazar, Carens and XL6.
      However, I also think that people must consider Honda's choices rather than going for the norm (obviously brand backing plays a role here in terms of what they offer at present rather than future promises). We still own a Mobilio iVTEC V(O) and had absolutely no issues with it besides normal wear and tear. We did choose it over the Ertiga, Innova, Duster, Terrano and even the XUV500 back in the day.

      @@nani198717 There is a reason why Koreans are killing Germans and Japanese when it comes to car sales. Gone are the days which people went gaga over brand legacy’s. Koreans are hardworking and they know how to keep their products up to date with democratising tech which were considered as luxuries before. And tell me which car is perfect in this price bracket? Kushaq, taigun has subpar components with lot of quality issues and in no way a real German product. Vitara, hyryder is more a cheap maruti than a Toyota. MG Astor is yet to be proven. Honda is dead before coming with same old 1.5 in the elevate. For many Creta/seltos is the well rounded package with almost something to offer for everyone. And heck GNCAP, it’s a tool used by Indian automakers to market their vehicles since no one was buying them. Let the Bharat NCAP come in to play and let’s see the results

      Stfu man. This is one of the few channels calling a spade, a spade. Ultimately speaking, active safety is great, but passive safety if at all something happens should be good too. Nearly all cars in the segment get a stable body structure. Even cars 2 segments below, like the Punch. The international Seltos gets it. So should the Indian variant. Safety features doesn't equate to safety, and ZW has done the right thing by highlighting it.
