    Big bonus with indoor bonsai is less insect problems and people thinking they are so perfect they are fake.
    Downsides, Lack of wind creates weaker thin branches, windows burn, low light stretch.
    For me bonsai includes the tree, the pot, the placement.
    The minimalist interior give bonsai a place of stature while a busy room removes grandeur, just as outdoor settings.
    Cool video, love the connection with nature and doing your best to have that at home..
    ✌️❤️🇳🇿

      Yes, I agree.
      Grow lights can help out greatly with this.
      Indoor Bonsai for me was something I started with out of necessity, but it is still nice to have a tree inside just to enjoy it :)

      A low mix of hydrogenperoxide and water will kill the insects but not completely kill the micro flora 😊

    Dope bonsai trees, never thought you had to keep up with its humidity 🤔. How long are the periods that you have the plastic bags on the plants? Couple hours or days? How often is that process repeated? And how long should the plant be out of the bag? Im thinking of getting a Ficus bonsai. Very helpful video 🙌

    In your opinion will a dwarf gardenia bonsai do well indoors? Mine has been growing beautifully since I got it 3 months ago. Flowered once so far and no dead leaves. New growth shows constantly. My home is kept at 70 F all year round. Do you think this will continue for me or will I eventually have trouble? I have it on a east facing window sill. I water and mist leaves every day…and leave a little water in the drip tray.

    Cactus and Succulents still go through their dormancy period indoors even in the warmth, due to the photoperiod they are receiving, i grow many cactus and this is the case, photoperiod is much more important than the temperature, so why is this not the case with bonsai? After all light is the main contributing factor to photosynthesis, is it not more the humidity that causes the trees the problems? (I am not experienced with bonsai, although would like to try it out to add to my cactus and succulents and herb growing) so its not something i know alot about.

    Huh, I always thought plants "survived" winter, I never thought they actually needed a winter to live.
    Also, what species is that at 3:45? I love the small leaves.

    • @Bonsaifly
      @Bonsaifly  Před rokem +1

      Temperate trees do.
      It’s called Zanthoxylum Piperitum. This tree was actually the only casualty I had this winter, as it had a huge pest problem and died while I was away on vacation. It’s one of the more difficult species to keep in temperate climates, that shouldn’t stop you from trying if you like it!
