      LifeBeyondTheSea - Philippines wow that is pricey! wouldn't that be close to a condo rental in Makati, Manila, for example? And the rooster cracks me up every video! Hahaha

      It's the old "it's a foreigner so let's triple the rates" routine. It looks too off the beaten path for that price.

      LifeBeyondTheSea - Philippines That's to expensive for living outside the city. you can rent a really nice one bedroom resort condo in metro manila for 20k. that's probably why it looks so empty because to expensive. when you move to the province everything is cheap so no need for that

    The price is on the expensive side for the Philippines but the rooms are very spacious and very nice. If your only staying for a few days the daily rate is really not too bad for that nice of apartment.

    Its April 29, 2018. Im in Davao city at the Camella Toscama subdiv. Im renting a 3 bedroom (small rooms), 1 CR (restroom w/ shower), a exterior dirty kitchen, front yard, small back patio, 24 hr guarded gate and rovers, pool and party lounge (50 pesos for pool and lounge 3000 pesos fee for big parties). My rent is 12,000 pesos a month plus 390 pesos a month for homeonwers association fees.
    The upside is its not too far from downtown on a motorcycle and not too close to downtown crowds.
    Downside is that its a boring city, filthy and even more crowded since the mayor became President. 43,000 new registered vehicles by the LTO (DMV in the States) in 2017 alone.
    I am desperate to move. Dumaguete looks good. But that apartment complex is WAY OVERPRICED, especially because it is outside tge city center.
    But i appreciate your videos Reekay!

    • @brodavid9960
      @brodavid9960 Před 6 lety

      BTW, this a bungalow type house not an apartment with nosey and noisy neighbors. The masterbedroom was expanded from the small bedroom next to it to make a larger masterbedroom. Which i prefer.
      Not trying to boast. This is a small house. But good for me and my girlfriend.

    Funny how he says at 6:47 the shower has enough room for four or six people... SHOWER PARTY!! ORGY TIME! LOL
    Those apartments look pretty comfy. Definitely worth checking out. Prizes are okay too I guess considering they all have pool access and other amenities. I noticed from the sheet of paper that the guy handed out that the apartments may also be rented out alone without amenities; or they can be paid for separately with only some amenities, which is a good thing.
    Informative. Thanks for the video.

    Thanks for the effort of taking the time to go and share the info Reekay.
    I know you mentioned the value with extra is worth it but is it security that brings up the price or short term rental?
    Are apartments or houses about that range in Valentia?
    Is Dumaguete same prices? Higher or lower.
    With prices do they provide size in square Meter of apartments?
    One main question. Have you done a Video of various Rental Cost with Square meter in Dumaguete? and other areas you have been at like Bohol?
    On your bachelor course you could include a video with all the Rental video you have done from Various areas. Just a suggestion for paying clients.
    Great job Reekay.

      @Lifebeyondthesea  Před 7 lety

      valencia, in general, is about 10% higher for rents than 'down the hill'. valencia has slightly cooler temps and only local, minor traffic so its an ideal spot that commands slightly higher rents.
      i've never been good at guessing square meters. :)

    Is your buddy Tony a white guy with a ponytail? I know this area pretty well. The layout and large rooms are nice but that location is a bit too far from the city for me. Granted it's very close to the water park and Casaroro and all of that, I just prefer living closer to downtown. Even around Bagacay is a good area.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  Před 7 lety +2

      nah, not white and def no ponytail. :) it's very private and secure. valencia is kinda like 'mayberry'.. a nice little town where everybody ends up knowing everybody. one park in town where most people hang out at end of the day. is about 15 minutes from downtown Duma.

  • @backthatthingupyoyoy
    @backthatthingupyoyoy Před 4 lety

  • @richardcole2893

    My mortgage is what this place is a month. 729.00 US I have 2000 SQ ft. 3/2 brick home. I understand the privacy and all, but I would fare better in town for a cheaper rate. I can get almost a matching property in Angeles for 500.00 and all amenities included with a swimming pool. That's a little pricy, even for that area. If you got money to burn, I guess it's alright. I have been away for awhile Henry, catching up on my expat friends, haven't seen Lyn with you, hope all is ok. Plan on making a trip there next year, the Good Lord willing. Maybe we can hookup for lunch or dinner. Keep feeding us the good info my friend.

      120/hr shop rate for car repair etc etc etc.....$1600/mo total there, 4 5 or 6 thousand per month in the states equivilent.

      in valencia, it seems most places are a bit nicer and a little pricier than duma. duma has a wider variety of apartments, studios and homes for rent at a slightly lower rate. bacong and dauin are even cheaper, but you need your own transportation since they are about 20 minutes outside of duma.
