AN: This film has been in the making for quite a while, even before I started challenging myself to do a short a month. This short was conceived out of love for my dear ragdoll cat, Timmy, who I would consider my bestest friend and a friend who I unconditionally love. I love him more than most people I know. He’s a pretty old cat, fifteen years and counting, and while he’s still incredibly healthy for his age, I’ve lost some pretty incredible pets at a moment’s notice and that's been absolutely devastating. During a semester at school, I lost three childhood dogs within weeks of each other. I gotta be honest, I don't even know how I recovered from that. While my love for Timmy is unparalleled and I cling to every love-filled second I have with him, I know that there’s a possibility that at a moment’s notice, he could cross the rainbow bridge. Life is like that, you know, and that’s something that’s been keeping me up for nights on end. The most important thing I’ve learned through all this is telling your friends, family, pets in the moment how much you truly love them. Cherish every second with them, kiss them, hug them, spend quality time with them. When the time comes to stay goodbye for the last time, know in your heart and mind that they lived a long, loved-filled life and the moments you shared with them then and in their final moments meant the world to them. The sad reality about owning a pet, especially one in which you have such a strong special bond with, is that they aren’t in it for long enough. But you’re there for them for their entire life. Timmy is very much that pet for me. He’s seen every little phase of my life, from my first years after moving to Wakefield to adolescence, walking away from friendships and gaining new ones, falling in love with filmmaking, and just watching me grow and grow. And yet, through it all, despite how much I've changed, Timmy remains the empathetic, chipper, dog-like, Ryker/Rush-hating cat I’ve always known him to be. And I love him eternally.
I guess what I’m trying to get at with this long winded author’s note is that this film was made so even in the decades to come, when Timmy’s long made his journey over the rainbow bridge, I can look back on this and remember the bond I had with my special little friend. And the pain of remembering how he went can be replaced with the unconditional joy and laughter of our relationship. Wherever I go, whatever happens along the way, a bright eyed cat will always be waiting. Enjoy.

He was top billed for a reason! Idek how I held my own as an actor against him. He’d give Daniel Day-Lewis a run for his money!
