So this is a perfect example of following your dreams! A guy in the audience held up a banner, saying 'Let me play guitar on Name'. Not a chance in hell right? Sure enough, John was having none of it.
The crowd seemed to want it so after a some consideration, John let this guy on stage.
His name was Jake and he did an amazing job. The crowd loved it and were chanting his name. Probably the biggest reaction of the night, after Iris of course.

A random guy in the audience held up a sign, asking if he could play guitar on 'Name'. After a bit of encouragement from the crowd, John finally agreed, and the end result was amazing. Well done Jake for the having the balls to do this!

James Fowler Been a fan of the Goo’s for ages and see them whenever they’re over. Got to see Jake afterwards as he was leaving the venue and he was understandably over the moon!!

I was there for this. I was alone, said to myself - next time I see them I’m going to have a new girlfriend and be getting on with my life. Saw them late last year in Glasgow with my new girlfriend 😃

Yeah, back in the 90's / early 00's their stuff was awesome. I've got to say that even now, they put on a great show and have some good songs on their latest album.

My Westies TV In fact I did know that! Been a big fan of the Goo’s for a while. We were in Niagara about three years ago and mace a special trip to Buffalo because of the Goos. Cool that Joey’s dad knows George!

Lol! I was amazed that he was allowed on stage! He did an amazing job and that must've taken some guts! He was stood near me and when he left, people were congratulating him, shouting his name and getting selfies with him!

Just curious how if the guy he take to stage cant play name 😅
they only pick someone raising their hand saying they can play it.
Seen this same guy come on stage with the Goo Goo Dolls in a few different videos at different places acting like they don't know each other. I think that they do know each other and the singer is trying to make this guy famous just for knowing a song that was practiced for this reason. Smh. Song needs to be called "Lame" and not "Name".
Yeah, I’ve recently seen a video of the same guy come on stage at one of their shows in the US!
