If this becomes realized, it is a bit of an improvement compared to the current air defense capability situation of this country. Modern military tactics dictate that without dominance of the air during combat, the war, in general, is surely lost.
Forget about the F-16s. They are at the end of their product life and will eventually be replaced by weaponized version of Saab-Boeing T-7 Red Hawks.. Focus instead on the JAS-39 Gripen and FA-50 combination, both of which are of newer technology and better suited to new upgrades than the ageing F-16s.
