    Dude i am looking for a damn 8 way direction for a while now, i hope you dont stop this series halfway through like some other guys. You also show the solution dor most of the problems i had before for example the feet sync's, thanks for your effort so far.

    Oh how cool this is. And I did it through Use controller rotation Yaw, and switched it all back after stopping, I have so much extra code, thank you!

      There is nothing I can do about the animations since they were made by Epic Games (Lyra Template), and they are meant to be used mostly for fast paced shooters.

    When I edit the animations and and click reimport animations It just opens my folders/finder on desktop ?

      I had the same problem, just try exporting the animation with the changed settings, then import the fbx again.

    Hey, great series, thank you. Just one question, why are all the animation to be set as root motion==enabled? Is this a root motion CC? Sorry i am trying to learn all the different methods for a character controller in Unreal and i have a looooot of doubts! Plus, are you planning to test the new animation pipeline, motion matching, motion warping etc?

    btw when you mark the feet, will that work automatically ? i mean u dont need to do anything else once marked??

      Yes, the engine will do all the work, you just need to mark the feet so that the engine knows which foot has priority at each frame.

      Thanks! They are from Epic Games Lyra template that you can find on the marketplace for free, yes they are free to use in unreal engine games, other game engines are illegal.

    Really thanks for this series. just one thing I found about this video, just at the end, the random idle sequence its not replicated, not sure if there is a quick solution for that.

    When I enable root motion the animation moves forward and disappears. It doesn't move still like in the video, only if I disable root motion

      @@ALKEBULANTheAwakening I just disabled root motion and it worked perfectly fine. I didnt do anything beyond moving/crouching/sprinting though. Not sure if it matters beyond that point. I just need to get a character up and moving around

    Any suggestion why my character is following my camera movement while standing still in idle state? i want to be able to rotate the camera like you around the character freely while in idle but it is rotating same direction as the camera >

      Minute 13:30, we lock rotation rate when character is idle.

      0:49 did you set the rotation settings in the begining?
