Asphalt Legends Unite (formerly Asphalt 9: Legends) is a 2018 racing game developed by Gameloft Barcelona and published by Gameloft. Released on July 25, 2018, it is the fifteenth major game of Asphalt series. In comparison to previous entries, there are several new and improved features, such as a prestigious car lineup, new control schemes, including the autopilot mode called "TouchDrive", and race modes, and the reimplemented "shockwave nitro" from Asphalt 6: Adrenaline. The graphics are considered significantly improved compared to its 2013 predecessor, Asphalt 8: Airborne.
On March 25, 2024, Gameloft announced an expansion of Asphalt 9 update titled Asphalt Legends Unite that is slated for release on July 17, 2024, with the game's title also renamed into the new one. A new Singapore track has been added upon update.
This is crazy. Never expected the asphalt games to be anywhere else but mobile.

Galaxy S21+ (Snapdragon 888) started having problems after this update and now it can't run at an optimized 60fps frame rate. Also there should be option for graphical settings to lower it to medium so it can run at a stable 60fps
Snapdragon 8+ gen 1 here .. I'm also having problems after this update.. and you can change your graphics at the graphics setting option.. my phone struggling to run this game at high quality with 60fps😢
Heck, every iPhone using iOS 15 even have problems. (iPhone 6s user here). I'm playing A9L before the update and it was smooth 60FPS, but after the update, every time I join multiplayer, it freezes until the game crashes. I thought only iOS user having problems here
My OnePlus 7 snapdragon 8557nm processor 8gb 256gb used to run asphalt 9 legends with highest graphics at constant 60fps but now this stupid update downgraded the graphics and the game looks ugly as hell

No doubt the game looks absolutely amazing. As an Asphalt ex-fan I adored this game so much back when Legend first came out. This game has so much potential to be leading arcade racing franchise. Too bad the game is being handle by GameLoft, the once good company turned into the EA of mobile games.

@@hikari178 the graphic itself doesn't look bad imo. The problem is that Unite is being too generic comparing to other titles.
On my Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus with the Exynos chip, the game used to run smoothly at 60 fps before the recent update. Now, no matter what settings I try, it's stuck at 20, 10, or 30 fps. It rarely hits 60 fps, even when it's set to do so, and only for brief moments. The performance is also plagued by stuttering, low frame rates, and poor optimization. I'm really disappointed with the new update because I used to play this game daily to relax for 30-40 minutes, but now it's just painful.

Advertising is annoying. That is, you click on “Skip”, but it still comes out and turns off for a long time (both in the hunt for a car and on the Internet). For some reason, personally, in my graphics settings there is only a selection slider of three positions (low-standard-high), without adjustments. In the "Screen" setting you can only select the frame rate, that's all. On “High” the game slows down, especially in Singapore, although the phone is not weak, it was once the flagship among Honor (still on sale). That is, I played the previous version on “High”. Now I lowered the frame rate and set the quality to “Medium”, restarted the game, and found myself in the past... The graph became squares, but did not lag.
There are only bots playing online (the # symbol is in their name). That is, the GL-sheep haven’t come up with anything better than taking real nicknames, adding #, and turning them into bots until people update the game and figure out the new interface.
There is too much purple when you look at a car in a garage (+ smoke, light from headlights), and only from a certain upper angle can you see the actual color of the car. If you go to the car color settings, then there is no purple reflection there, just a gray garage, and the color of the car is immediately visible, BUT, now you can get into the car settings if the car is not open...
By the way, unopened cars have become so hard to see in the garage list that you have to take a closer look why they made such a strong contrast with open cars, x. h.
They didn’t update the ancient music - they immediately turned it down to 0, because it was more annoying than the Porsche Targa in the award drawings.
The weight of the game with settings and garage became 5.1 GB.
Pros: multiplatform; drawings added; the grid was divided into several stages (bronze IV - III - II - I, and only then the silver stages begin), which slightly resurrected unpopular cars that practically no one rode; they put the damn chest with blue tokens on top; whoever doesn’t feel overwhelmed can now play with garbage;
Of course, the fans will get used to it, but I’m thinking of snatching up such a column, or demolishing it to hell, defeating the constant lack of time. To each his own, as they say.

@@simaroy4900 im an Asphalt 9 player for 6 years, this asphalt unite disappoint me a litte bit. Cuz Asphalt 9 has a perfect optimization, even gt 210 and 2gb ram was running it smoothly. Now, im lagging with 16gb ram and gtx 1050 ti, and the ui is also so confusing. ill give a chance bc of thats first release. i hope they can fix this serious optimization problem

@@AGgaming230 Two different games dude but alright. Back on topic I’ve been playing this game for around 2 years now, and spent less then 2 hours per day on asphalt. With a new introduction of the mp system I don’t even need to play for over 15 minutes to be on the leaderboard.

The Mobile version is almost identical.
This same graphics was there on mobile version I used to get it with my OnePlus 7 now this unite update downgraded mobile version graphics and the game looks totally crap worthless totally

kinda pay to win, but its still playable, ive been playing atleast a few months without paying for stuff, the multiplayer servers are eh tho, depends on the people you play with ig

@@sanket-_-2001 yeah technically, but nintendo server is delayed. And I don't believe gameloft could handle this project well. Already window server is not working well including some server slowed and fucked up.

I'm playing this game on my samsung A7 cell phone. Sad to say, the upgrade needs some improvements. The color texture is dim and murkey. The chrome color appearence look gray and chalky. And playing multiplayer, its very choppy when playing it. Not a smooth play. It always stop & go, stop & go. Asphalt 9 was better than this. What happened?🤔

Trash, forced update even if you installed asphalt 9 legends and are forced to update, graphics are worse on Android, technically depends on the phone meaning you really would have to upgrade the phone

@@Ima-naygigger You can tell from the low quality textures, especially the roads. Also the trees are clearly made for mobile. All 3D games work fundamentally the same. So all they did is port the mobile game to ps4.
