    Great review Reuben. I think you forgot to mention the ability to split and shift the start times of the patterns, which gives basic scope for editing. For example, you could take a 4/4 pattern, edit the length to create a 3/4 or 6/8 pattern. Or shift the start time to create an off beat pattern. You can also employ creative key switching to mix multiple patterns together. I think a second, deeper demonstration would be great. I have Amplesound, Orange tree and Real libraries, and like you said, for straightforward rhythm tracks, this can't be beaten on quality and realism of sound. 👍🏻

    Does anyone know how to get this to NOT loop... and just give 1 strum (diamonds) for when we need that? Can't seem to figure it out yet. Thanks!

    Hello, can you tell me how to put STRUMMED ACOUSTIC 2 in Contact 5, I get an error when adding No Library Found

  • @connelljacintorealestate4361

    Thank you Reuben - excellent video.
    I was using Session Guitarist Strummed acoustic 2 today.
    After recording, I find the pattern sometimes reverts to a pattern that is set for a different portion of the song during playback. If I go into the system and click on the pattern it gets fixed.
    I’m using Cubase Pro 12.
    I’m likely doing something incorrectly.
    Would appreciate your feedback.
    Thank you again.

    hi is there a way to play your own pattern, but while still using one note for a chord?

    Strummed Acoustics 2, as well as the other instruments in this family such as Electric Sunburst and the new Electric Vintage, are fabulous plugins! The one exception is a SIMPLE TO CODE feature which is turning off the ONE NOTE CHORD DETECTION. Real musicians, especially those who use these types of plugins live, may actually want to play something which compliments the sampled phrase. This isn't currently possible and it's an option which I want so badly that I'm in the process of writing a midi application which will ignore any input that is less than 3 midi notes occurring in a given timeframe. If I had access to the NI Source, it's a modification that could most probably be done in less than an hour. Thanks again for the very informative video on such a great product.

    • @truthmanifestingtruth
      @truthmanifestingtruth Před 3 lety

      Yeah you’ll have to do it on a separate track

    • @billhenley2332
      @billhenley2332 Před 3 lety

      @@truthmanifestingtruth Actually I'm doing it with a product called MIDI Translator Pro from Bome. It operates more like a configurable driver than a plugin and allows you to both create and use virtual midi devices with less than 2 ms latency. It's the most versatile midi controller product I've ever used but it does take some time learning to use it because it's quite complex.

    Can it play whatever chords or voicings I write in Midi or does it take a cluster of notes and assume a pre-written chord and play that instead?

    Good day
    I watched one of your software demo -Ample Guitars.
    There is this patch you used in Omnisphere -Evolution Pad.
    I so much love the pad, immediately I opened my Omnisphere to load it up, unfortunately I didn't have it
    So, I wanna ask, how can I get the pad? Or in which of the patches does the EVOLUTION PAD is?
    I'll appreciate your quick response.
    Thanks

    This issue in the code is straight forward. I'm new to the environment... but the downloads always looks at the local 'root' drive on the mac to see if you have enough room, even though you might be using an external to download to. this is THE bug. I ended up having to create a super cheap boot up disk that had plenty of room.... I cloned my internal drive --- then restarted with that external as the start up, this way I had plenty of room when the software checked it (even though the libraries were targeted to my particular SSD external with my libraries on it). It's a simple fix for them with the code, but the problem still exists today here in July 2020!!! Once you have installed, you can restart back to your internal startup and all will be well.

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  Před 4 lety

    So can you do something where you just pick the chords you want in a progression. Let's say for 4 or 8 bars. Then pick a strum pattern, bpm, time signature, and it will play it for you? I play some actual guitar but my timing sucks when I'm trying to play into my DAW and use it for a chord progression. Would love something that sounded real and was easy to just do that.

    • @truthmanifestingtruth
      @truthmanifestingtruth Před 3 lety

      You can program the chords you want to one key. Then you’ll just be pressing a key to get the chords. Surely you can time pressing a note even if you have to place it in the piano roll. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.✌🏾

    Is there a way to change the tempo on ANY of the samples? If so, how do you do that?

    • @hifimidi
      @hifimidi  Před 4 lety

      As far as I know, the samples can only play back at 1/2, Full, and 2X the speed of the DAW's set tempo. You can adjust that in the Playback page at the bottom center of the window. I'm not sure if that's what you meant.

      When you have a pattern selected, you need to set the chord generator to “as played”

    So just playing one string won't be possible...? Thanks for reviewing, this was one of the few things I envied users of a Yamaha Tyros, sounds on the same level to me

    • @truthmanifestingtruth
      @truthmanifestingtruth Před 3 lety

      It’s better than the Tyros and I think you can play one string if you set it to play your exact held note(s)

    Rueben, I didn't hear or see you mention if you can input a Program Change, on your DAW to switch to another Group of Patterns. The User could be able to incorporate more patterns in a song, rather than being limited to that one group of the SELECTED group of Patterns. Thank you for reading!

    • @benhughes2355
      @benhughes2355 Před 5 lety +1

      As far as I know, you're limited to the 8 slots, but you can still use another instance to get 16, and update sample pool on each instance. 👍🏻

    • @benhughes2355
      @benhughes2355 Před 5 lety

      @@rogererickson4279 yeah, if you set up the tone for your first group, duplicate the track if you're using cubase and it should keep all the tone settings, if you update sample pool RAM usage should be minimal. 👍🏻

    There doesn't seem to be any way to play inversions, as far as I can tell. Also, their 3/4 patterns are an absolute joke, unless I'm missing something. I suppose I could try taking some of their 4/4 patterns and truncating them to 3/4. But still, to me it's a serious limitation of this plugin. I'd like to be proven wrong about these things. Right now, it feels like a big mistake to have purchased this plugin, even on sale.
