I'm from West By God Virginia...born n raised, the southern part so you know lots of folks have farms n stuff. Black people around my way are scared of goats, even more scared of horses. Had a big ol saneen goat get loose and approach a black guy I worked with and had a friendship with. He almost cried......the goat was. Trying to eat his chips. And let me just tell y'all ......people always looked at me awful weird when I talked about my goat herd and talked about how one day I'll have a horse and I'll be riding it everywhere, Rollin to the drive through on it. In fact I had several black folk look at me and straight out say "bitch ya husband's white ain't he? Yeah soon as you said goat we already knew!". So to see so many people of color doin big country things has got me dead set on taking a trip down there and riding with y'all!
So ever since I saw these trail rides and the related music videos for them I've decided I will find a way to get down there! I got to ride a horse once......some white dudes tried to sell me ab16 hand beautiful bad as horse. They were impressed with how I jumped straight on the big beautiful bugger, and that's the story of one time I got to ride a horse deep in a redneck holler with dudes that would randomly just state how "yeah girl I got lots of black friends! Oh yeah tons ...everywhere" completely out of context. Like I'd comment on how beautiful a black goat was and they'd say " yeah we like black stuff oh yeah, speaking of the blacks love em! Top notch folks right there!".
That's the only time I've ever gotten to ride a horse, but have always been obsessed with them. Somebody sign my ass up!
