glazing will crack on any brand of bag if it is at a stress point where it is stretched repeatedly regardless of price unfortunately. great review!
Love my Cassie! I reach for it waaayy more than I do the Pochette Metis! Definitely a great bag! 😄
I got the Cassie at the beginning of July and last month in the exact same spot the glazing had cracked in the exact same way. I took mine in to Coach and one store associate said they could replace it for me, but only just once. After bringing me a new bag from the back she then added that any additional issues with it would have to be treated as a repair only. However I feel like this was that particular associate that decided on her own to state this because when I genuinely asked her out of concern, “Are you saying it could happen again? Is this a concern for all the Cassie bags?”, another associate stepped in saying that my particular bag seemed defective and if there are further issues with the new bag I shouldn’t hesitate to bring it back for evaluation. In addition, the second associate helped me look at the new bag very carefully- especially all the glazing- and they carefully wrapped it into a dust bag and box. I don’t blame the first associate for being cautious because I’m sure that they might feel some customers are too quick to look for problems or defects and try to get new bags, but the way she said it made me genuinely concerned she thought it might happen again! If there is known problem I would have preferred the option of exchange for a different style- I was not looking for a refund-, but like you I do really LOVE the Cassie. I took the new bag and have used it several times since, but this time I’m being careful not to overstuff it and I try to distribute my items evenly inside of it. Hopefully this will help prevent it from happening on my replacement! I hope everything works out with your’s and keep us posted!

Coach has superb customer service, definitely get your Cassie checked. They now have the Cassie in Oxblood and it looks stunning! Oxblood fan here too.😉

@@wildcat62282 an SA in one of the Coach groups I belong to has it in his store. You could probably contact your local Coach boutique and ask if they have it in store.
@@wildcat62282 I just called Coach thanks to a couple comments mentioning it in Oxblood and at first they checked their website and said they didn't have it - but when they searched again they said they do have it and they were able to order it by phone only. I couldn't go online and they couldn't tell me where in store I could buy it. I hope this helps! Perhaps if you want it - you can call and explain and order it this way, as well. I wish I could've seen it before ordering - but I figured - return shipping is free - so it's worth a shot! :)

I just started using my coach center zips as my “Wallet.” It helps me be able to carry the bag and include all the other stuff I actually need as well. I have 2 kids. I need at least a few things. Lol.
I love your videos - doesn't matter what you're doing - you make me smile. I should also say that you made me buy the Coach Cassie and I ended buying the Parker, as well. AND thanks to your loyal followers who said they got the Cassie in Oxblood - I just called and ordered it in Oxblood too - since it's not online! haha. Ugh - hope it's everything I imagine - worried since I didn't get to see it before ordering it, haha. :) Keep us posted on how you make out with your Cassie - I'm anxious to hear how Coach responds.
Hi Jennifer! I have the same Cassie in black as well. I looked at mine soon after watching your video, and mine has a crack on one side as well. I’ve only been using mine for 3 weeks! I remember when researching this bag months back, coming across a video with someone having a cracking issue so I’m not surprised that this is happening. I’ve been very careful with mine because of that. I tried to avoid picking up the bag when open by the flap. Please let us know what Coach says. Love your channel by the way!

I got the black Cassie in June, too... and I have that glazing in the same spot- and only on one side. I just went on Sunday and got another Cassie in OXBLOOD!!! I love it! I will have to bring in the black one to see about the glazing as well!
+50 on the short shoulder strap, yay! Using the zip section as a wallet is brilliant, never understood why people have bags inside of bags. So glad to hear this bag travels well, I'm now newly interested, I love my Cassie but no short shoulder strap unless I do the crossbody trick. So smart to overlook minor flaws and hold on to original pieces, all the designers cut corners (looking at you MCM) while at the same time upping prices.
My Cassie not yet having cracking issues, I have one of the signature c styles, but from an engineering standpoint I can see where it could be a problem, curves are always stronger than sharp squared edges.
I love Tabby 26 I still didn’t purchase yet I am thinking I got Cassie i will try get Tabby I let you know Jennifer thank you for sharing God bless you

I’m on my 3rd Cassie and they all have had glazing issues needless to say taken the 3rd one back 😔!
The cost of designer handbags has gotten out of control it seems and the quality hasn’t followed suit. With all the competition these designers face to keep up causes the public who spends the big bucks, to pay the price. One way or the other. I still think that D&B puts out a quality leather bag that can with stand the rest of time. I love their leather bags!! I think I have at least 25 or more LV bags and my biggest complaint with them is how fast the piping will wear on their bags. It kind of turns me off on them. The canvas bags with folds get out of sorts and for the money, it bums me out. I love the older Coach bags with the heavy brass and thick leather. Wish they would of stuck with that. They have ma y followers and loyal customers who continue to buy their goods. It would be nice to stay with what works. Love your honesty and your videos. It keeps us informed!
The Cassie bag is based on The Court bag of Coach around 90’s.

Hi there, I just love that tabby 26 in the ox blood! I need to get that one soon! I have it in the chalk and I just adore it, it’s the perfect bag! I went for the larger style tabby the shoulder one in beechwood, chalk and snakeskin, it’s so beautiful and you can fit in so much! I’ve yet to purchase a Cassie, but it’s so like the vintage coach court which I have in navy and in black so it’s kind of putting me off getting one , but you never know, thanks for sharing lots of great info! 👜🥰👜🥰
Don’t you hate when you say there’s a “problem” (first purse) and then you try to show it and it works perfectly?!? 😜 that happens to me ALL the time with my computer 👩🏼💻 when I’m showing my hubby something that has been acting up and then BAM of course it works perfectly!! Hahaha

I have both too, I wish my Cassie was in black. I got it in the beige and off-white. The Tabbie 26 is so cute, I got it in black. My only problem is I carry too much and I have difficulty down sizing. But both bags are beautiful.

I would leave it as is. I have done nothing to protect mine (I have 3) and they are still perfect!
Thanks for doing this review on your Coach bags. I bought the Cassie in a new brownish burgundy color last week and I'm looking forward to using it. When I bought my bag, the SA said it had a one-year warranty. They should take care of your bag.
The LV Should offer the handle in dark brown or black.
I've had the leather two toned monogram cassis in my cart for weeks. Then I noticed the small Tabby. I'm so torn!! I really love the look of the Tabby however I wish it was maybe 2 inches more in height.
Check out the Tabby Shoulder bag! It is exactly the same as the Tabby 26, except taller and more roomy.
Interested to know what coach say. You've not had it long enough for it to wear like that. I was getting the Cassie for Christmas. Bit worried now...

I have two Cassie bags because I love my LV bag so much! I just didn’t wanna spend another 2K so coach it was! I haven’t had any issues with mine and I have carried them often throughout the summer. Perhaps yours got a little stretch your bag looked a little overstuffed. Good luck with the repair...Please let us know how it turns out!
Ok, I too have this bag. I haven't used it a ton. But now I'm a bit concerned. I may start using it all the time so if something happens they would be more apt to help a girl out! I hope they fix your issue. Looking forward to seeing how this plays out!🤪
I think the design of the Cassie and the metis is honestly just a flawed design that will inevitably crack on the flap because of the way it’s constructed unfortunately! So it isn’t just lv that has problems then lol!

I had a feeling there was going to be videos with that issue on this bag I picked up my lovely new cassie from john lewis on Sunday and got it home and the glazing was spilt in exact same place as yours so I returned yesterday iv got a feeling in the near future there is going to be a lot of videos on this bag with this issue it's such a lovely bag was sad to return but it's not a cheap bag great video

great review of all three bags! Im a Cassie nut as I own 5....didn't know the Oxblood just came out til I viewed this video! I just called my local Coach store....and they confirmed its in store and there is a secret sale coming up in about a week.....so, to hold off and wait til that comes out as the SA was confident the Cassie is part of it......so if you all want to save some dollars, wait for sale in a week or so!! :-)

I hope your feeling better x I brought the Tabby 26 in the black after I first saw your unboxing :) such a versatile bag I love it xx Oh I also got the regular tabby in cream (haven't used it as much). I might trade out of my current and start using it.
Sometimes you can get that gold strap at the outlet for $15!
You should have a one year warranty on this bag, so Coach should do something for it! But I do have an outlet Coach key case that has cracked glazing on the side, and it doesn't seem to be getting worse. I think it still keeps the leather together as necessary. But this is the bummer with the new coach bags vs the vintage. The vintage bags have piping/rolled leather edges. They seem more durable (but obviously impossible to repair if it does crack).
Just so you know, there is a hugh difference between the outlet chains and the boutique store chains. I returned an outlet chain the minute I saw the difference. The boutique chain is larger links, stronger and the metal is a different gold colour. It's really worth the extra money for me because it would last much longer!
You baby and don't overstuff your lv pm consciously or unconsciously because it's way more expensive than the cassie. Of course the cassie will show wear if you use it well. It's a bit frustrating when people blame Coach's quality for a 'defect' rather than the way they freely use a bag.

I have a bag I got from the Outlet, it has a flap, very similar, but the glazing seems to have been applied on the flap and also the back of the canvas so that there’s a purposeful break between the flap and the back wall. Keep us posted about what coach says!

Hello Helena. I would have to say that I prefer the Cassie. It is softer than the Tabby shoulder bag, yet still really holds it's shape. TheCassie is a bit more casual in my opinion, but I think they are both incredible bags and it just comes down to preference. Good luck with your decision :)
Tabby 26 reminds me of the Gucci Marmont that I've wanted for years but refuse to pay the price tag. Wish Coach would add more colors. Right now their website has black or oxblood.

I wonder why the Cassie oxblood doesn't have the pretty C on the clasp...it has a plain clasp :(.
Actually, all the Coach Cassie's have the C on the clasp. The photo you are referring to is a "pre-launch" photo before the design was complete. I don't know why some websites use the wrong photo. I was in the Coach store yesterday and can confirm the C is on ALL the Cassie's! :)

I sent you a request via email several months ago asking you to do a wear and tear video on your Hermes Evelyn 29 , I am thinking about buying one in early November and would like to know how it is holding up and if you still love it and would you buy it again. I have the Cassie and the Pochette Metis, and love them both. I got the Cassie in chalk (white) because I have enough (too many) black bags. If they came out with it in the oxblood color, I'd probably go for it. I can't speak to the wear, because I got the Cassie at the end of the summer, and because it's white, I haven't used it yet. I hope I don't experience the cracking issue. Please let us know what Coach has to say about that.

Hold up--just checked the Coach website, and in the solid color Cassies, I only see the black and white (chalk). I'll watch for the oxblood, though. Was it solid, or colorblock? I don't care for the multi-fabric, multi-color ones.
Yeah, it’s not on the website. It was in my local store in the mall. I’m not sure if they release to the store first or what but I noticed new colors in other bags that is not on the website yet.

Hi there. I enjoy your videos! I was hoping you could give me your opinion. I normally buy mostly luxury handbags but after seeing this video, I really want a Coach Cassie. I agree with you that it is a gorgeous bag. I was initially wanting it in the saddle (brown) color. I’ve been wanting a bag in that color way for awhile. However, the oxblood is such a unique color and I agree with you that it still could be considered a neutral color. What should I do? I want to purchase this soon. I appreciate any feedback!
This sounds so much like my situation/dilemma! I also am more of a luxury bag buyer, but fell back in love with certain Coach bags. Also, I have wanted the Cassie in Saddle since the very first introduction of the bag, but it has only been available in other countries. I am still having high hopes it will eventually be available to purchase in the states. In the meantime, I love my oxblood, black and taupe Cassie's so much! The oxblood is gorgeous, and can be used as a neutral. It goes with just bout anything, but admittedly does not do as well with spring and summer outfits (unless you wear a lot of white, tan, navy, grey and black in the summer...which I do somewhat!) Have you considered the taupe Cassie? It is a perfect light neutral and might do the trick while you wait and hope for the Saddle (along with me.)
Just Jennifer Thank you for your reply! I did purchase the Cassie 19 in black because I love the smaller size and Classic look up that bag and then I purchased the Tabby 26 in the ox blood color. I purchased the ox blood color because I felt like it was such a unique color that I probably wouldn’t find in very many other bags, whereas I can get that caramel color brown in a lot of different other styles of bags. I haven’t Had a coach bag in decades and it really seems like you do get a lot for your money. I’m really excited to get my new bags! I really appreciate all of your insight and your videos!

I too had glazing issues with my Metis and got rid of it because I do have the Cassie and original Court. Since you love the Cassie you should give the Parker a try! I promise you will absolutely love it even more LOL 😊👍

I just took mine to Coach and got a replacement.It had to be ordered and sent to me, but as soon as I get it, I will put up a video about the whole ordeal. So frustrating.
