  • Wind turbine gearboxes haven't been reliable. Historically they've been prone to micro pitting failures, but the reason may not be what you expect. In fact, it's a story that involves the evolution of the wind turbine as we know it, plus the age old problem of lubrication technology having to keep up with machine design changes.

Ha! Thanks for the feedback. I was trying something different to the usual - some of the experiments are going to die on the vine. The full interviews aren't going to be published here anymore because I mostly got feedback that people didn't want to watch them on CZcams. So while I'm figuring out a podcast platform I thought I might release a couple of clips.

4 min of mild enlightenment if you know what’s happening in today’s market…The reason it’s important is because there is very limited gear add packs that have the micropitting data set today…and there is lots of growth anticipated in full syn gear in this market, but you will need the FE8 and all gear add pack with FE8 data set on allocation

Dang! Good start but I would like to know how this interview ends. A “Lubrication Suspense”

I mostly got feedback that people didn't really want to watch the interviews on CZcams so I'm going to start publishing audio-only versions to a podcast platform. Should be done next week!
