Wajima is like the Ōsensei of Japanese Metal.. he is small and frail and seems to have a very gentle demeanour but his riffs are so brutal they could melt your face off!!!

なんかイカ天のころよりカッコよくなってる感じがする。懐かしいっていうより新鮮な驚き。ずっと進化し続けていたんですね。あの時の方向性のままブレずに。
昔の漫画に美とは非凡な物でぶっ倒れる位のショックを感じないといけない、みたいな事が書いてあったけど、彼らの音楽も見る度にあり得ない位の驚きを感じる。

This is the song that got me into Ningen Isu. The album that this is from is probably one of their most underrated works, in my humble opinion.

Learning Japanese might not be enough. Apparently, some of their songs are sung in an ancient dialect that even very few modern Japanese understand.

I love how these guys seem to enjoy making the end of their songs end with a bang. Almost always, the heaviest part is the last 15 seconds or so where they just blitz you out of nowhere.

いかすバンド天国（イカ天）でも和嶋のギターは高評価だったもんなぁ。
Their music is so inspiring to me as it’s everything so much modern metal isn’t. Raw, big, dynamic and great melodies. Solo’s are fiery and I like that after the main riff has been played for a while, you know probably two more killer sections are coming. Love bands that don’t have overly technical parts but understand dynamics and arranging. Great shit.

The thing I like about Ningen Isu is their natural sound. In many cases metal lacks that raw sound they got. I would like to know what they think about the fact that people around the world like them so much. We need an interview with english subtitles. I'm one of these people that want real people playing real music. Nowadays machines can build everything we want, computers can turn shitty music into a hit. But we just want some piece of art, handcraft and things that are not industrially made, but made by sensitive human being.
Kenichi Suzuki is also said the same thing in his writings on the web. His writings are so funny!!

3 songs in and mind blown. They sound like what I'd imagine to be a love child of Down and Black Sabbath, but better. If the vocals were typically metal it wouldn't be as good. The riffs are crunchingly good and inventive within the same song, and the solos are mind blowing. I haven't smiled at songs like these for decades!
Where have I NOT been all this time? This is a great band, Excellent musicians, originality and of course music! I love the guitar sound too, not colored up with effect stomp boxes, more Gibson-raw sound with clarity enhancement. Sending this to all my friends!

What is so great about so many Nigen Isu songs is they start strong and go for several minutes and then go ape shit like at 4:09 and go harder and eventually end with get pulled over and then another cop learning about this band.

Man, I really hope they get some English subtitles on this one sometime. I'm absolutely infatuated with this band, and I love reading their lyrics!
Two things come to mind.
First, these guys absolutely rock. I only recently discovered them and I'm working back through their huge discography now.
And two, all three of them look like they're from different bands. The guitarist looks like a samurai master, the bassist is some kind of evil monk, and the drummer looks like he just got off a singles-over-50 cruise.
I've had 2:53 as my wallpaper for awhile, and every time I see it I get such a surreal sense of respite.
Super impressed by these guys. Wish I would have known about them when I was younger, I would have gone to Japan to see them.
