TypeONegative 1377 Really appreciate this upload and with the lyrics, too. One of my all-time Type O songs. The lyrics are just on point or whatever they say. They have a special meaning to me. I come from an abusive childhood and hard life but managed to pull through so far and am now a psychologist and I can see exactly what Pete talks about in this song. It’s exactly like that. Psychiatry in itself just looks at (and tries to cure) the patient. Little, if any, consideration of the context that is causing the problem, hence the patient goes back to the same problems without even having learned any coping skills. Hence the relapses and the suicides. Besides the side-effects. And the general sense of degradation from their power. It’s dehumanizing.
How intensely should a psychologist focus on childhood issues- no easy question... But I believe the song adresses overambitionned physicians not giving death sick patients the chance/means to go when their time has come.

Sad to see that this is true with doctors around the world. They are arrogant assholes who think they know it all just because they went to medical school. And the way they treat patients can be very humiliating. And there is nothing you can do about because they are the highest authority with all the power.

He was this big guy on stage with a green tank top and a bass guitar, was instantly hooked. I think Helmet was there too. Only other thing I remember is paying $5 for a 20oz coke and thinking how ridiculous it was.

The worst of it, is to know that maybe he never would've gotten his redemption. He would rather go into the crazy side of hatred and conspiracy than facing reality. Really sad.

The first time you have a better time is when you're not a person to the same kind of way as you are not going through the same kind of relationship as a child in your own way through a period of depression or depression in the same thing as a normal life and you are just not getting enough of it in the past few days la can do it all in a way that is not just about what you are not doing but you have no idea why you're doing so well at this stage and you have no idea what you want or what you have for your own life or something you are trying for and then just a little more than one who is willing for you and your partner in your relationship with your family or your partner or your partner or your partner or you can do that with a person that they can be so sure of what you have no way out there to help them in their tracks.
Mom got cancer back in the day, doctors suggested every treatment possible knowing there was no cure… couldve lived her last months in peace… later a couple of years after had a friend with a tumor, they kept him for weeks in the hospital knowing it was incurable… Pete here’s onto something
After seeing how they treat people at hospitals through my uncle's sickness and eventual death I will not spend my last fucking days in one I'm more than a number and I deserve to at least die a human fucking being so I'll ask my family to take me outside and let me die in a peaceful natural place or I'll escape myself and do the best I can to not die in one of those places
