Bowdoin grad and journalist Evan Gershkovich gets 16 years in Russian spy case

The White House is condemning Russia for its conviction and sentence of Wall Street Journal reporter Evan Gershkovich.
American journalists are calling the espionage conviction of the Bowdoin College graduate a politically motivated sham. Gershkovich is the first American journalist convicted of spying in Russia since the Cold War.
On Friday, a Russian court sentenced Gershkovich to 16 years in prison.
