- Happy Valentine's Day, everyone! The wonderful Aishwarya Majmudar and I are back with our favourite song; this time in THREE languages and FOUR ragas! We decided to do an almost all-vocal arrangement of this iconic masterpiece in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi; and decided to do our own jugalbandi with the four ragas of this song: Sohni (Hamsanandi), Bahaar, Jaunpuri and Yaman! We hope you enjoy our take on this classic!

In yesteryear's there were number of gems n pearls, of them, Musician Shri P. Adinarayana Rao Sahab is one.
This song came in 1957 can you believe that ???. In today’s age with so much editing and technology anything is possible but how did shri Adinaraya Rao even explain his vision for the song with Shri Ghantasala and P Susheela. What a commitment by the entire team. Fantastic rendition by Abby and Aishwarya

The original telugu was sung with Ghantasala by Jikki Or Krishnaveni and not by P. Susheela
It's my favorite legend jikki and ghantasala garu voice that made the song alive and continue to do so

It is difficult not to feel an awe of the years of training and practice that would have gone behind the execution of these extremely complex ragas. This is a true tribute to the the supremely rich culture and music of India. Bringing these jewels in the contemporary form for all of us to enjoy is the real dedication to art.
I admire your ability to sing in so many dialects considering you grew up in Canada! And memorise al these lyrics!! Both Abby and Aishwarya have such beautiful powerful mesmerising voices!!

This rendition of the songs is superb I can speak to the Tamil and Hindi portions - your pronunciation is spot-on. That final ragamala (if I can call it that) covering all the raagams in this song - it was spectacular for me. And the little run at 4:15. Hats off to Adinarayana Rao, the original composer. This recording is something I will listen to multiple times.
