*squishy scoring air dribbles and double taps with 100% consistency*
also squishy: i didn't air roll 😇
That's easy
@@jayypea_rlNo u
he’s showing you how easy these mechanics are
squishy making all his opponents forfeit with 100% consistency
also squishy: i didn't even air roll
@@jayypea_rl Bruh.
You justifying your shots cracks me up every time. If you want to lower your constantly, close your eyes every time you go for a touch. Thats about how accurate our shots are in champ, but yeah you’re right. You’re not doing anything crazy, it’s just that consistency. I could do everything you’re doing, but 2/5 times I’m gonna either miss, or hit the ball wrong and it’s gonna go somewhere I didn’t intend for it to go.
So wrong on so many levels. C2 4/5 shots should be going in. Most people have around 4-600 hours in champ 2. You should have plenty of time practiced in shooting.
@@BillHouseyou’re dumbb😂 if 4/5 shots in, you’d win every game. And in turn WOULDNT be c2. You have no idea what ur saying bruh
ya he never does something wrong is what he doesnt understand. even tho his touches arent that difficult and most ppl in champ 2 can do a double tap in freeplay, its not realistic. seems more like just smurfing to ssl rather than playing at the ranks level and giving tips. being able to do exactly what u have planned in ur head all the time consistently is literally what champs cant do and even gcs.
@BillHouse you be quiet.
@@jamesharden9 brother he's not just going to purposefully miss the ball, no point in that.
hes just trying to show us that being consistent is key to ranking up and that keeping it simple and basic is good enough to improve
hes giving tons of tips though, just look at how hes dumbing every play down.
Squishy triple tapping off the ceiling and acting like it is no big deal for C2 div 1 is hilarious
That's easy
it's okay he didn't air roll
You shouldn't be able to hit this shot in this rank. It's C2 for crying out loud.
A little too much 😂
@@jayypea_rlyeah no c2 is hitting that unless it’s lucky
champ 2 is a mess. some dont know how to half-flip, others score with a musty double tap
I remember hitting c2 once and playing against dudes who were def GCs like 4 games straight, it killed my confidence and knocked me down to D3 and now i play too fast for the diamonds and cant get out lmaooooo
@@stevenrichard2196 i had this problem like 2 years ago, champ ranks have always been a mess, especially c2 imo, that's where the desperation starts to begin IMO for GC rewards or whatever they care about
Exactly. Were all stuck around d3-c3 because of just how inconsistent everyone is and how shitty the MMR system is.
@@stevenrichard2196its actually annoying getting knocked from C2 to D3 because at D3 the gameplay is so sluggish
Just had this last night, 2 games in a row I get team mates that had great game sense and mechanics, then next 2 games I get someone who whiffs almost every touch or keeps passing soft little touches to the other team putting me in 1v2's. C2 is a complete mess
You just have to refine it, you know. It just takes.... you know, 17,000 hours
Lmaooooo
Legit so insane. Thats close to 2 years of INGAME time. 2 years straight 24 hours a day.
@@stuehlchen4535 the game is 9 years old lol, not that much.
@@KrazieeGG that is literally playing the game 5 hours everyday since the release. 35 hours a week. it is almost as many hours as keeping up a full time job for 9 years.
@cheesedabber you know what's crazy... its almost like it is his full time job 🤯🤯
I thought this was supposed to be educational. Squishy has been curb stomping his way through these ranks with god like consistency, touches, and cuts. But at least he doesn't air roll though lol.
Yea I had higher hopes for this series than what it has turned out to be. Most of these shots would be the best ive ever hit lol
Yeah, he is really just smurfing with commentary
I mean, wat more could you want. He explains his thought process in every scenario of each video... stop focussing on the crazy goals hes scoring, and look at how he positions himself, fake challenges, plays patient and is able to beat his defender every time he has the ball, either that or creating a good enough 50 to maintain possession. These little things are what matter, ofc mechanics are important to rank up but the vids are definitely still educational
Exactly how I feel, it's unfortunate. He should do road to SSL while playing on a nintendo switch, handheld screen only, to nerf his mechanics and reaction time a little lol
@@JV-im8zy I definitely appreciate Leth's road to SSL more after watching this. He does a better job explaining his positioning while trying to play at the level of opponents. Squishy forced everyone to FF in this video. He is clearly playing at a faster level and his reads and position go hand in hand with his speed.
Squishy is like a billionaire giving advice to poor people, just a bit out of touch with what's normal. Not his fault, he is a goated and the series is entertaining.
For the next series or if you create a new account, consider creating a challenge where only your teammates can score. Many players believe they have to carry the team at all time, but this twist would add a new layer of challenge, forcing you to rely on your teammates' skills. It could be an interesting and educational video series for you viewers.
He did that years ago when highest rank was GC. He got so frustrated at the end he gave up and decided to score to get to GC. Never again seen him get that frustrated lol
@@mikemoore2910 thanks for that I didn't know. I guess he could end it at GC or maybe limit his goals and play defense. He probably better now and GC is not the same as SSL nowadays.
@@Mr.GraphixI mean he could do the challenge, but be allowed to score if they pass to him
@@opliko on GC level?
@@mikemoore2910 tbf he did it in solo que 3s which if u played enough back then then u know that that was 3v3 for people who blamed tm8s more than the usual person so doing that challenge is almost impossible.
Snoopy, your team mate in the second game, played it actually pretty smart. He realized that you are the better player, so he let you have the ball more often. It's the safest (and chillest) way to play, when you're soloing and get lucky with your team mate.
Squishy: my tm8 did it so imma do it
Also squishy: *proceeds to do the most perfect air dribble I’ve ever seen*
Bro thinks a ceiling double tap into a regular double tap is something you can learn in a few hours and isn’t hard just because he didn’t use air roll is hilarious 😂
Still great video! (and series at that)
From a c2-c3 who has horrible mechanics but good game sense
RIght lol, maybe it's because I'm pushing 40, but I have over 3500 hours and still can barely air dribble or double tap in games, in free play it's pretty easy though
okay to be fair he did not say you could learn it in a couple hours, but he did try to justify it by saying no air roll so.. lmao
@@widepeepohappy1969he said it at the end of the video at 18:15.
if u had good game sense u would be gc1 not c2-c3 (unless u legit can't hit the ball 60% of the time).
@@julienowens9427 I don’t agree. c3 players are pretty good and I’ve played at GC level before and it’s pretty much the same.
A lot of them already know how to flip reset and double tap and do it in an ok consistency while I can barely flick. I’m good with fakes though 😂
you can always recognize a smurf by the absence of unnecessary and consistant clean movement
Yeah, that's what I also thought. Squishy sees not air rolling as a nerf, but on the other hand many champs mess up their air plays by constantly air rolling for no reason.
@@killaknight12 like H2KGaming say not about being fancy
@@killaknight12 I think that's the point a lot of pros make in these series though. The fundamentals are the building blocks that make cool mechanics work. I think a lot of champs outplay themselves by risking too much, playing too fast, or trying to be too mechy just because that's what is popular online on youtube, tiktok, etc. GC3 peak here, and a lot of it was just good positioning, consistent touches, keeping control of the ball, playing the ball into space, being aware of the field, and all the little things like good bumps/bump dodging, boost stealing, setting up tmm8s.
this has become a no air roll to SSL challenge 😂
I mean air roll for many people is just impossible to learn and understand. Their brain crumble lol
Cuz they r trash
@@lethall6609 Na thats not true. Learning air roll is not as hard as most people think. Once you get a basic understanding you can just play rings maps and get pretty good in 2 weeks or less. Then doing it in training packs and freeplay for air dribbles and shots for another 200 hours max and you got it down.
What helped me with air roll left is spinning my left stick like crazy and seeing what happens. At some point I could go from goal to goal while doing that shaky car aerial and then go from one goal -> left or right near the wall and in to the other goal. Just practice.
@@stuehlchen4535 bro I know how to air roll, I know what It takes to be able to. What I mean by impossible is that there is no time for people to learn it. Ur coming from work or school u spend 2 hours gaming, i don’t think u will go and practice in those 2. To learn air roll u will need to be serious about learning it and actually make time to learn it, it’s one of the hardest mechanics to learn and master
@@lethall6609I agree. I really don’t understand how every single person I play from Plat upwards, can do it consistently.
4:25 this is the first time i’ve clearly noticed squishy’s canadian accent (when he said “about”) and i’ve been watching for YEARS
Sounds pretty normal to me
Ya I never notice his accent
Squishy does not understand that perfect reads, and perfect adjustments are just as much "mechanics" as mad spins/resets. The biggest difference I see between him and my lobbies is his ability to turn perfectly every time. Especially when "fast turning" (I can't remember what the skid button is called) more than 90 degrees. That shits hard.
Yeah. The cuts he's making on the ground is something I rarely see. Even in gc 1 and gc 2. He says they aren't "crazy". But he is definitely responding to his opponent many milliseconds faster than any player below SSL. He's right tho. The mechanics he's doing, and even in his regular game, are things everyone can learn fairly quickly. But the consistency and precision is what makes him a top player
Thing is, if you just practiced power slides and shit like that, you’d be better than most players in your rank. You’re just practicing the wrong things imo
@@InsaneDeuit-ny8ds You're not wrong but I'm more pointing out that squishy doesn't seem to register that his micro adjustments are part of his mechanical skill set. If his objective is to teach us to play smarter, he should be advising we practice power slides, rather than saying they aren't mechanics. I love squishy, and his content, so I'm saying this purely to give a d3-c2 perspective.
Maybe i missed where he said those aren't mechanics, but generally it seems like he just keeps pushing us to learn basic power slides, bounce dribbles, and fast airiels (rip spelling) minus the air rolls consistently to get to champ 2. Plus the thing about not challenging while they're closer.
But, ya know, because if we're closer to the ball we're deeeefinitely gonna win it or make the shadow defense save 😂😂
@@InsaneDeuit-ny8dsI'm not practicing at all, I only play for fun and practicing in that game is not fun at all for me
bro champ 2 is sweaty as shit
Yes that is why I started freestlying and quit ranked lol
They're bad lol
they pretty much play like diamond as much as i see
@@imnotallergic Squishy is a top 10 player in ranked I think so ofc it looks like trash. But c2 is probably the rank where most people peak and then quit because they cant get past it. It's really the rank where you have to put in the most hours to get past and push to gc1. From what I've heard after that its more mechanical, speedy and consistant. So even more hours to put in. Probably 4k hours+ for the average player to get to gc.
@@imnotallergic this looks nowhere close to what the diamonds looked like
10:35 pretty much sums up Champ lobbies lmao
Also 12:12
Air dribbling from side to side without much purpose
17:52 I'm dead 😂😂😂
10:30 “How did he double tap and then he didn’t make contact on this?” Welcome to the high champ experience lol
Lmfao the way he's explaining his shots
the way you are playing in this video is like you want them to ff and want to finish as much games as possible xd
Maybe he did before the season ended
Because he needed to finish the series before the season ended
he explained on stream how boring the champ ranks were and said that when he was playing he could pretty much just go afk and be in the right position and he would win the games so i don't blame him for throwing inn the ocational air dribble especially when his tm8s are attempting it and he's been given every opportunity to do it.
@@julienowens9427It can’t be more boring than any of the lower ranks, the players are clearly much better lol
The weird thing about champ 2 is one game your teammate plays like a bot and the next game your new teammate is double flip resetting. It’s where a lot of former GCs ended up after they added SSL as a rank. The main thing I noticed at Champ 2 is they just go for every single ball and will usually touch it but the touches are meaningless because it doesn’t put the ball in a scorable position.
ya that's just a gamesense issue a lot of those gcs just lost their gamesense and not their mechs so they do dumb stuff but might triple reset on u
"... but I didn't air roll" 😂
The difference in teammates from games 1 n 2 just show why its so hard solo queuing lol
sure but if watch the series game 2 was just an extreme outlier the majority of your tm8s won't be playing that bad. Also it's c2 everyone sucks ur in your rank for a reason
Tips Given this video:
1.Focus on ground mechanics and turning.
2.Understand when to challenge opponents and when to wait.
3.Control boost effectively.
4.Pay attention to positioning, especially staying in the middle for better coverage.
5.Use fakes to exploit opponents' panic states.
6.Learn basic plays like flicks and air dribbles.
7.Prioritize reading the game and making calculated decisions.
8.Be patient and wait for the right opportunities.
9.Practice refining mechanics consistently.
10.Apply a good mindset and rule set to improve gameplay.
Just get better in everything is a better explanation, at least looks/or sounds like it xD
Step 69. Learn how to set up perfect air dribbles that need no air roll adjustment. Because there's no air roll it's easy
So cringe champ is freelo
also don't challenge when ur beat to the ball ( sounds simple but still good advice up to gc3)
@@julienowens9427 bad advice that gives the opponent space even if they're beating you to the ball that's why something called forcing the ball is a thing lol
Hi squishy, enjoying the series so far! As a gc2 i understand how hard it is to not be consistent and i also understand the champ-POV thats cant do what looks like an easy air dribble. I think you can bring the series up to the next level by explaining more why you are driving in a current position and when you gotta chill/be quick. I could find many examples but take 2:57. All champs would first grab boost and be awkward, what you do there is just driving but champs do not understand that so i think explaining why you turned first there would help. Hope you read the comments to make the series even better!
10:37 Just champs things
And this is one of the reasons why this rank is so hard, cause it's so unpredictable
And of course the variability in the quality of your team8s, in the first match you got a good one and in the second you got one that looked like d2
8:55 makes a perfect halflip. Boost management is perfect at all time through the video and is consistent with everything. But he does not use air roll 😅 i can do allot of mechanics but still C2 forever.
😂
12:35 “teammate airdriblled across the map”
Actually: *got two touches halfway to the middle*
Hey, I could if I wanted to
Been champ 2 for like.. way too long. I'm hardstuck. But seeing double touches & cieling shots are quiet common. Flip resets are usually not a common occurrence (scoring one at least).
Leths road to ssl were a little more accurate 😂
squishy justifying his shot at 3:31 is so funny to me XDD
please do 3v3 and 1v1 Road to SSL next! love the series
I love how everyone is commenting about the no air roll, but not the occasional subconscious zap-dash that squishy whips out
These videos are helping me a lot with the logic behind every decision that is being made, thats one of my biggest problems as of now. Im looking forward to the c3 - gc2 vids
im actually learning a lot from these and can see improvement, great series
16:30 yeah this is not just a champ thing GC1 is an absolute nightmare because of this. literally everyone is full balls to the wall insta challenging
Nah this serie is insanely helpful with the positioning aspect. I feel so strong now, I got to beat my gc friend and caught him on many mistakes I never thought he was bad at.
Love this series 🔥
Love this series. Please do one for standard 3s! Scrubs like me I think would learn so much about positioning, rotation, and reads from it!
Haven't learned much from the champ vids but the plat and diamond ones were very helpful. Still love the series!
I honestly think I’ve learned more from this series than I have watching 100s of other content on “How to play”, “Mechanics 101”, etc.
Really enjoyable stuff. Vibing on max.
I’m doing something similar. Never played a game. Want to see how much I can practice and learn before actually playing a match, and then see where my level is when I start jumping in. Have plenty of time for “training”. Will be interesting. Edit: The "Can You Smurf without having played a game ever." run. Lol
Keep up the great content and GL!
"It's only sketchy because my teammate hit it." "Okay my teammate is not going." "I thought my teammate would be there."
Yes. This is the champ experience.
Loving this series man
14:20 this shit is the most annoying thing about getting back to GC after season resets. I don't play much the last few seasons so always just hop on at the end of the season to grind out GC rewards and its crazy how many people at C2/C3 just braindead rush challenges. Its so annoying and straight up boring, it makes the game feel like you're just taking nonstop 50's until someone scores, and when it works out for them a couple times in a row, your C2/C3 teammate starts tilting and spamming "Take the shot!"
Had a game the other day where we went down by 2 in the first minute because of braindead last man challenges that happened to work out for the other team and my teammate starts throwing and stops playing, easily could've won it but teammate would rather throw a tantrum.
couldnt have said it better its so frustrating. they hear that to get better they need to 'play fast' and assume it means balls to the wall for the entire 5 minutes
Loving this series bro
Damn, it just looks like he never gets into trouble. Never early and half misread jumps or taking a risk that puts your teammate in a tight spot. That and the flawless ability to almost always make a play so consistenly.
I love the fact that you re-started making a new account to enjoy the previous rl ranks
love your content squishy!!
9:10 this cut lol
such a great video ❤
Add pros doing road to SSL to the list of why I'm basically only playing casual 😂
“Too much!” 😂
definitely love the new content, i kinda feel like uve been doing way better after retiring, really really love the content, really helpful as well!
c2 is most definitely the most difficult rank I've ever played in. got to c3 once and then I get reset back into c1-c2 and have to fight every time to try to get back to where I was. not a fun time at all
It’s bullshit
@willstephens9433 hard agree. one game you'll have a teammate that's either in that rank, cracked outta their mind, or a plat. it's a bad experience tbh
I agree, Champ is where it gets really difficult when you're an average player like me. I have to play against cracked people all the time with shitty mates who play like plats.
It's so infuriating when opponents air dribble over you while your mates constantly whiff and put you in 1v2 situations. I'm by no means a great player but my replays paint a very clear picture
@@ssyyriinn100% agree, I swear the tm8 I had last night was plat. How does this happen? How do they get into c2?
@Mithrandir0397 see I'm a highly competitive player, so I get super pissed when I have a teammate that shouldn't be in champ and we're playing people who could compete for esl monthly elites lmao. I definitely have my moments where I'm terrible, but I didn't put 1700+ hours into this game to get bitched by diamonds in champ
Thanks for sharing Mr. Muffinz. Enjoying this series
Love these videos Squishy!
Yeah if I saw him in c2 I think I’d know he is a smurf by the 45 second mark. Its not all mechs to tell if someone is smufing, usually what gives it away is movement. It’s unfortunate I didn’t get as much value out of these as I would have hoped
It's so funny to watch you playing so pro vs them xD that flip reset made me laugh
Wish you uploaded these daily
That reset was crazy ngl. I never hit such a clean reset not even in freeplay after easily 200+ hours of just flip reset practice. Insane.
What's up brother, I am proud of you for everything you accomplished man. I am glad to see you moving on to other things even though I wasn't ready to see you leave RLCS but, keep kicking mane.
I'm stuck for a bit now in c2 and it is hilarious to see how you are absolutely carrying your mates through the matches. I dont wanna say i dont make mistakes too but when i play safely throughout the game my mate starts to get inconsistent, stupid and doesnt think about what he is doing
Really enjoying the series man. I am diamond rank and as you said, i think your speed and particularly consistency; I have thought your precision; is what generally these lower ranks tend to lack. Even whilst I think that mechanically even about half of Plats tend to air roll it's extracting ordinate mechanics from those movements in the context of the game, the knowledge, with the precision that tends to score you points. And yeah trust in a teammate is definitely something you'll see radically vary across the ranks
1:45 "Just gonna boom it"
Me: "Something light-"
Squishy: *Perfect touch, fast as hell, catches the opponents off guard*
Me: "Yeah, lemme just replicate that in my ranked matches"
Squishy dropping 4 games! Gotta comment
It's only 4 games because he shits on them so bad that they leave in
Even as a Gc2 the advice given in this video was a massive help. After watching this vid I went into ranked and won a game of 2s i'd normally lose while i was on 300 ping which just goes to show how important game sense is
Im gc but im stuck in c2 🤡 playing against high gcs and ssl kids 😴
Just get better simple ur rank is ur rank pff
Lmao even the control to the ball to go kinda straight in the air is killer xD even without air roll
as a gc i can confirm if you beat the first man with a flick the second guy absolutely 100% does not fake challenge. he instant goes and i get scored on and what a saved
you helped me a lot with how you mention if the ball is closer to the opponent go back or if it’s closer to you, you should challenge most of the time because i usually just fly in at the ball causing the opponent to get possession.
I think it's less about not using air roll, but rather the fact your car doesn't get wacked into a weird direction when you hit the ball, which is way more important for the air play imo
Keep up the great work. These videos are outstanding entertainment.
Love the vids!
Love the content ❤❤❤
3:30 I imagine squishy like green goblin having two personas good and evil talking to him self :D
Was around Champ 2 2 years ago and i have to say its pretty accurate. although you underestimate your ability to lay up a dribble or a shot. its literally the perfect execution so it doesnt matter if you rotate or whatever midair if you have perfect control over the ball. also there are literally guys in champ 2 that do musty flicks or flip resets and all the stuff. though they are rare they do exist
Champ is very volatile skill level wise lmao sometimes I go against bots and then get people flip resetting double tapping 😂😂
C2 in American servers is very different to Oce. Everyone knows how to ceiling double tap & flip reset in Oce, the way you’re describing it & the way those teammates/opponents look shows how different the skill level is between the servers are.
6:57 brain goes full autopilot for a sec
I gotta work on my first touch and fast aerial , getting that pop makes things so much easier
this is very enjoyable content that i am enjoying
Loving the series Dr. Squish
Love the vids squish
Good thing a gold didn’t try a flip reset even though it would have gone horribly wrong, or Squishy would have been flip resetting since plat and calling it justified 😂
realy like thease kind of videos it has good informations about the game
People hating on how easy he makes it look are missing the point. Every single time Squishy does something clean, I pause and go back and watch it a few times to see what I'm doing wrong. It's not hard to learn from these videos, unless you truly didn't want to in the first place.
1:20 “Woops I wave dashed aerial double tapped”
sometimes I accidentally hit the ball first on kick off the best thing that happens in my lobbies is maybe a shot off the wall
you: "this is very ez to learn'
Me: .....
2:00 “my teammates really good” there’s no way this is c2 gameplay w that quote 😂😂
The series was going pretty well up until this video and the last. I feel like squishy is playing GC consistency in champ lobbies. I get that you can practice these drills but we don’t have that same amount of hours as he does. I think he should bring it down a notch. Also, he’s carrying super heavy every match. Like how often do you get +1k scores 🙃
Hey squishy do you think we could get a season 14 1s RTSSL?
Would love to see this series in different regions to be able to compare ranked play
1v1 and 3v3 series next! This series is awesome
well as a C2 div I i could see myself do those things if i didn't air roll for nothing all the time, it's great to be shown how things must be done !
Maybe squishy could duo with Lethamyr on the next episode, they might be close to the same rank in the series. I think lethamyr does a better job and adapting his skills to the rank
"i didn't really do anything crazy"
*the 250 boost he used on 3 solo plays before his tm8 even got to make a touch* "huh?"
Ok came back to comment to this video. I'm champ 2. I watched this video and went to play some ranked games. I tried my best to apply all the instructions that Squishy instructed to my gameplay and I have to say, they worked really well. Won like 5 games in a row. I was patience, I DIDN'T rush to the ball and tried my best to wait until opponent messed up or gave me the ball for free, I tried to position myself in a way that I weren't too far in the play or too close. It was perfect, game felt kind of easy. Then comes the tricky part. After my win streak I was behind a goal or two. I felt that I have to rush a bit so we can score and I lost my composure. I rushed and whiffed and lost. Mistakes came and I lost my patience and lost another game. So my point is THESE TIPS DO WORK but to be able to execute is a matter of patience and consistency. In a good day, I can utilise these but if I'm tired or anxious it's really hard.
Yo squishy hope you get to finish the series before season is over. Love the videos brotha
I think this was the first episode that wasnt fun to watch for me. These guys are champ because they do not! Have perfect touches every time. This was a pro player shitting on champs without air roll...great man
Now I know if I get clipped on by a player that doesn’t air roll it’s probably squishy 🤣
Great video
3:17 : To be fair, while I totally see your point, by that argumentation that you use here, you can justify anything as easy. I mean Darts ..... just hit the treble 20, thats it. Just throw the dart. Simple as that.
Formula 1: Just break and turn in and accelerate at the right time. ANd if the setup does not work so well, make it better. That's it. I think you see my point here.
Dont get this wrong, I'm a huge fan and I like you very much. But that argumentation there, lacks....a lot.
