I couldn't sleep and was having doubts as to whether I belonged to the Lord or not when the words 'O the deep deep love of Jesus' came to my mind. I looked it up online and this version was the first one to come up. It was perfect for me at this time, very soothing, reassuring. Thank you Lord.
God's love is endless even when we have doubts, we are separated from Him when we sin,so many ways to sin...but when we come back to him and ask forgiveness He does forgive each time and He helps us to put Satan to the curbside to and just keep praying. We are born into sin because of the apple and Satan in the garden and we are saved by His (God) s Grace and Mercy. I thank My Father, ABBA everyday to guidance and turning away from sins and to continue to pray and sing songs in praises to His Holy Name, He is faithful. When ever , I feel separated or think there may be a distance with God Just Pray.. he is as the song says ,all above us and all around us and below us.. he is always wanting to be with us because He loves us. Keep praying everyday and you will be Blessed. In my prayers
Loved your testimony but have questions. Do you really love Him? Do you keep His law? (and not pick & choose which ones to obey.) Cause Jesus said, "If you love Me, keep my Commandments." Daily Bible study is best way to learn more if what He wants to teach us. And always invite Him into your life each morning anew! Events unfolding tell us, His coming is sooner than it's ever been...I will pray that we meet by the Tree of Life that speads over the Water of Life flowing from the Father. By the way, the enemy of our souls has caused a man to take God's place. God never changes...never. He hasn't changed a single law, & they were written in stone! If they preach and you can't verify it in the Scriptures, it is because there is no truth in them. Search for yourself, the Scriptures for there is life!
Nov 21st2018. 8 days has passed since my husband has gone away to reunite with Jesus. This hymn used to be one of his favourite .. now to my surprise this song keeps on popping on my mind everyday almost every hour . It is more sweetest feeling inside the body than anything. People were singing to me far away where I could not see them but their voice reached me. Some songs are familiar to me and other songs were new to me and when I woke up I only remember repeated verse not all of the songs. the songs have to relate to my current situation, bad or good time. I have this sleeping gospel singing since 1996. I sick in Nairobi Kenya and people were singing and other side of the river and the song was powerful. I questioned myself it was not Holy Spirit, but I confirmed it was because I never dream in singing a none Christian song in my sleep, Micheal Jackson or other artist, and I listen and sing them all. My first time to hear somebody like you saying this. I do not share but relatives ask sometimes why I put time, weekday, and dates on top of songs when I woke from sleep. But never fully explain to them why. I am sorry for any inconvenient in my response to you Sister Ruth. There is no single doubt in my mind Jesus Christ is everything to us, especially those who have surrendered to Him. God bless us!

Then the verse 'moving homeward to Thy glorious rest above' changed everything, giving a true spiritual meaning to the previous words! The pattern is later repeated until the words 'for it lifts me up to Thee'. Without these two verses the song would have been of no spiritual value, with them it's true worship!
