so just to confirm the sentence mean enemy lose 250 rage once hit by belisarius, and the enemy also required 200 more rage to launch active skill right? so the target enemy lose 450 rage in total??
I may pair him with XY. Fast rage cycle with the combination of slowing their rage cycle amd rage requirement sounds completely sick. Plus you get a defense debuff. That march may literally not allow you to get anything off in time
Exactly Chisgule. Use your active skill before they use theirs. XY will do it everytime and cause that target to be extremely ineffective. I you all will pair him with obvious pairings but I'm going with this pairing and I could careless about 1 v 1 results

Man is this what I saved up for….. not even close to last inf or archer release
I can see his kit doing well for small fights but in a murderball? Nah. My troops don't die in big fights due to skill damage but by getting x12 surrounded. Delaying skills and rage reduction one 1 troop only in a murderball does nothing. Now, I can see this being a must have for whales who swarm down structures. Delaying active and increased all damage? That'll really hurt a garrison.
That's where people are missing out on here. The actual territory fight in KvK must now have him all the time with those debuffs. In field it's not that great but forts/flags/rally it's a total gamechanger. But nevertheless, we would probably only see whales having a use of this.
Idk even if that, his damage taken debut only applies to the damage he deals.

I use three Cav marches, my third is XY with MIna. I cannot see them being replaced with Beli Prime

I think you have it right Chis, Beli prime is likely a niche role commander for a 3rd Cav march for Hit and Run, rally swarm or AOO transport might be useful. Not a Meta open fielder that I can see right now but looking forward to the testing! Guess I should go back and finish William?!

I don't see it like that, it's another rotation where you can consolidate your actual commanders instead of investing in new ones, and it offers diversity to the game without broking the meta or without creating a new one.
if the archers and inf main say the same thing every cycle too...

@@ensohebert-santos5439 bruh, what disadvantage???? You have Nevsky/Joan and Huo/William for field and one of the strongest rallying pair Justinian Nevsky. You guys are complaining? And you will probably still be meta with the new Garrison. Inf and Archers players were in the same situation of Cavs right now: every release they were not so good compared to Cavs. The most lacked one is archer, since Boudica is useless compared to Nevsky or Scipio. The field meta rn includes 2 Cavs, 2 Archers and 2 inf and the last one is one of your choice. It's balanced. You are complaining because now things are getting balanced, and Cavs continues good but other comms too.

I wanted a third cavalry march and I am extremely disappointed. I struggle for a third. The new commander has no skill tree and no AOE. No place to put him. I would have to put him primary in front of Mehmed. That doesn’t make sense. My other two marches are.Nev/ Joan and Huo/ William

The exp skill is a debuff makes the target take more damage from all attacking marches.
Hopefully the Garrison Cavalry coming is the answer. Like Gorgo good in Garrison and open field

What if you are surrounding a target with 5 Beli P, is it going to be 60% more damage ?!
Then the kingdoms with more Beli will evaporate the others, the same Herman prime effect but not area of effect

3 marches of cavs is the only way I’ll run this guy in the field. Otherwise the best pair for this commander is my bench. I’ll sub him in to a swarm team, this guy is going to get the “Sargon” treatment.
yes, i would put him with the sargon team. Good bcs cavs needed to chill a little in power. And let inf and archers catch them. Also i am short on gh 😂
Chisgule, you misread that last skill. It reads if the target is surrounded THE TARGET RECEIVES x amount of damage. It doesn't buff the damage you deal, it buffs the damage the target receives. Meaning every march hitting the target is hitting harder not just the Belisarius.
I'm a little curious if Beli Prime would work well with Justinian for a cav rally. Justinian has that surrounded effect so you would always have Beli's Prime surrounded effects.

Based on his kit, I believe Belisarius Prime was made to work with Justinian for Rallies (Justinian Primary for rallying garrisons and Beli Primary for rallying counter rallies-maybe) since irl he was his king. That being said, I can see him being used with William or XY for Altar Fights. He seems to synergize the most with non-Skill tree Commanders imo

a new field cav commander that is unusable as a primary because of trash talent trees is literally the opposite of what we need...
the kit is also super mid. gonna be a great swarm debuffing commander and replaces CC as a speedy commander, but that's about where my interest ends tbh. guess it's time to max hermann instead most likely.
Beli like, maybe replaces justinian if youre on 3 cav marches i guess.

@@DeegzM battles aren't 1 skill cycle. We can't expect it to work every time. And we can't really expect to control the timing of both our march and the target's skill cycles. There are too many variables. Primary or secondary. But paired behind Huo is probably the best chance to get the rage debuff off before the target uses a skill.
No AOE … quite disappointed 😔 regarding LC and Herman kit …
I’m running a Nev/William - Guan/Scipi - Budica/Zhang Lu. 1500 Gold heads. Should I go for Huo/Beli or expertise Joan and Huo and have Nev/Joan - Huo- William 😅or replace Guan with Liu che and wait for the next infantry commander? F2P btw

But Belisarius 3rd skill only works for attacking troops on the map. So in the field or a counter rally. Not for attacking flags or passes. Just watched that back and 4th skill also only applies to attacking troops on the map.
Yeah but you lose 30% skill dmg buff cuz it only apply on troops that are on map . But yeah migth be the way to use beli P 🤷♂️

xy/beli for those running 3 cav marches. xy has always been a can opener run away march. quick aoe def debuff for the rest of your marches then ability to retreat him because he gets targeted first. Good micro will make him sing. If your not running 3...then hes really not needed
so one big spender needs to bring beli prime and it is fine because you get all the benefit and mostly for swarm
So Beli Prime is a must it seems... Chisgule, question! I have Huo, but he's at 5111mrn. Should i abandon Huo, and go for Belisarius Prime?
Since Huo has that s.t.u.p.i.d timer that he needs to wait before Huo delivers more damage
I think guan yu would do the trick in kvk with artifacts. Guan yu will silence the enemy for 5 secs which increases the probability of beli's defuff to work.
What if you had 5 people running beli prime and each of you target the same march; would the target ever be able to use their active skill?

Bad take from me maybe but Justinian/Prime Beli might be a cool ST burst march since Justinian's Active Skill effect and Beli's Expertise Skill works nicely, especially Beli's Active Skill effect giving extra rage requirement to the target. I don't know but we somehow need to wait for him to be actually released. Cheers Chis, and Cheers everyone!

@@DeegzM justinains active skill has synergy with belas first skill. And if the garrison is 80% the rally deals 30% more skill damage. Also it approachs the garrison quickly might be good to just rally cities so they dont tp away quick. Also if the garrison is swarmed it gets 12% more damage which is kinda goodish. And Justinians damage gets boosted somehow with swarms
The 30% is only on the map a garrison isn’t on the map so doesn’t work

Looks like a counter rally commander. Great speed and will slow down an active rally's active skill. The Garrison and this march will count as surrounding the active rally. If the enemy has the field, you can just send a bunch of 1 troop marches to get the 5 surrounding x5 bonus 😂.
I personally think nevsky is the best pairing for the defences. I think beli will be focused down if he is not paired with nevsky. I don't care about the rage reduction and marchspeed after leaving combat too much, it's a nice addition but that's it.
He will definitely be great in AOO, marchspeed and skill damage is really useful there.
Otherwise he is only useful if you use multiple marches in the field.
If you can only have 1 or 2 marches because your account is very young, find someone else imo

Good for swarming. Means you will need to fill that flag faster it will be getting 12% more all damage to include slower active skill for the target. Your commander will now become edward of wood stock when it comes to active skill

I’m guessing Justinian. Other than the obvious connection with the Byzantine Empire, doesn’t Justinian have a swarm ability in his active skill that would be boosted by Beli Prime’s swarm enhancement?

The key to Beli P is timing of his skill cycle. Based on what we know of skill timing, a pairing with Joan P would likely fire off his skill after her second skill cast. This would have his skill fire right about the time a typical 1000 rage commander would fire their second skill and create the skill delay.
Often when new commanders are reviewed the question if he fits one or two marches of that troop type. And its often taken for granted that players have the best commanders to pair with. What if you skipped Joan or dont have william as an example. Is he then worth getting?
Nope. Not worth it. Joan is the best secondary commander and i will take a 5551 william to this trash

It sounds like the expertise skill is a debuff on the march. So all your troops get the extra 12%. The duration is just however long its being swarmed.

You will only get this commander if your a farm killer or one of those guys that attack retreating troops from the back, His just another upgraded version of the old one. aka, hes a sniper type or hit and run commander as usual.

Maybe he is secretly a rally pair for Justin and you (might) proc the rage manipulation from Justins active skill as it has extra effect while as a rally. Other than that i dunno 😅

Beli prime is not insane it's just ok. I think best pair with caverly is xy+ beli(because in open field every player needs aoe & beli's skill have to be fired before others) & for worriors unbound it's guyan + beli (it will get aoe & also silence is different than rage reduction so the skill maybe stuck together and will create a 5sec silence effect maybe)😅😅
Rally swarming is where beli prime will shine. With Herman prime and artifact it could really help a skill damage garrison perform better.

Actually after looking at the tool kit. Belisarius/Attila as a secondary rally on a pass may be super nice. The hard part for this commander is he isn't good enough to make a top pairing but it depends on how much you are willing to shake up your three cav marches. Joan/Beli, Huo/William, Xy/Nev? I just don't see how you break up Nev/joan, Huo/William. Edit, I am 1000% doubling down on Belisarius / Attila secondary rally on anything with the Attila's museum buff coming.
My initial thought, with his debuff beli P can be usefull for counter rally
1. He can chase the rally faster
2. Rage debuff to rally
3. Rally troops easily below 80%
4. Increase damage to swarmed rally

Use Justinian to activate the "Deception Effect" with auto surround from Justinian's active skill. Still an average march though

His best pairing is obviously xy, the only bad thing about xy was getting caught up in openfield and a little but tankiness, though with beli it's fixed a little bit but who maxes xy to pair with beli to have a ok cav march?
