    Well, the video's great apart from one thing: Beastmen aren't actually all that stupid. They're, dare I say, not quite educated, sure, however, the lore often refers to Beastmen as "much more cunning than the civilized races expect". Just as an example, they're smart enough to use units of Ungors as scouts and are known for loving ambushes, which, as one could tell, requires a certain amount of strategic capability. Besides, the Beasttongue allows those who speak it to, quote, "convey a wide range of subjects and concepts", which too speaks of a certain level of its most common users' intelligence. So, as to me, Beastmen are still at least somewhat intelligent, yet their intelligence is more, let's say, primal-predatorish than civilized, if you get the point I'm trying to convey here.

    Finally, I was starting to think that you had bailed on the lore, when the Sunday upload didn't occur. Glad to see that Mr.Thick is still up and swinging his battleaxe. As always a marvelous example of how it should be done. Insta like :-)

    Sneaking a picture of the Charr from Guild Wars 2 in the end there, eh?
    They may look like beastmen, but they're more like the middle ground between orcs and goblins from Warcraft. Very warlike, but intelligent, with sort of a steam-punk style of warfare focusing on cobbled together war machines and massive mechanical fortifications.

    Nice intro video to this faction. Love how you mentioned how those lads breed. I assume minotaurs use animals instead of humans in this process same as some other bigger beastmen. Speaking of big Beastmen what about cygor, ghorgon, jaberslythe or whatever they are written? Make sure to mention them in minotaurs video pls.

    • @elliot1460
      @elliot1460 Před 6 lety +5

      Cygors and Ghorgons are part of the Beastmen race as a whole, the Jabberslythe is just a wild beast that they hunt or make it march with them by the bray shamans.

    An interesting side note: The concept of Beastmen in Warhammer is basically ripped straight from the Glorantha setting (King of Dragon Pass takes place there): glorantha.tumblr.com/post/97703013943/what-are-the-broo

    27:33 So I guess that makes the Beastmen like the goblins from Goblin Slayer then. I would kill to see a Beastmen Slayer anime it would be totally metal! Warhammer even has nearly all the same races as GS grant it in Warhammer most of the races hate each other but when has that ever got in the way of an awesome story. HAHAHA!!!

      It won't affect me so here it comes.
      Beastmen like fucking humans as much as they like killing humans. It even is said/theorized in the end by jumbo as well as accepted by most of the community that beastmen reproduce through a combination of female beastmen aka. beastwomen, who go by many names from the community such as "does" for gors, ungors, brays etc., "cows" for minotaurs and "mares" for centigors who are much more docile and caring than beastmen and are rarely seen by civilized society as it's believed that they usually reside near herdstones as those are the closest things that beastmen have to settlements and are naturally *extremely* heavily guarded and thus "safe" alongside captured human females that it's widely believed by the community that they spare so they can rape the shit out of them and boost there numbers even higher as it is also theorized that they give birth to more than one offspring per pregnancy.
