- Unboxing and testing the cheapest plasma cutter I can afford. Bought it in LIDL(Slovenia) for 149€. It's suprisingly good... for the money. All you need is an air compressor and you're set to go. LIDL's plasma cutter will easily cut steel to 6 or maybe 8 mm, thicker than that I wouldn't recommend. I also tested cutting aluminum, brass and stainless steel(INOX). Enjoy!

I bought one of these today and I am amazed at it's cutting performance for the small size and price, making it very portable and useful for running on a small generator or inverter out in the field.
Worthy of note: My variant has an 'integrate' air compressor, some models don't. I paid £149.99 and in my humble opinion, it's worth every penny, for an impulse purchase from Lidl. They're going pretty quickly too and they have a limited amount in stock per outlet. Thanks for sharing this video, it helped in my decision to purchase one. 👍

@@MakeAndTest Thank You as well, I got this plasma cutter solely based your video. Lidl was selling it now for 169€ and I don't need it for more than maybe couple times a year for small things, and for that price it is more than I ever need. When commonly in other stores the models starts at 450€ up to 700€ for cheap models, that is too heavy price for capability get metal cut for required shape when it is so.
This is one of those things I don’t need but really want lol, and for that price it’s very tempting..

You'll be surprised how useful they can be. This unit is a bit 'hit & miss' on thicker material, but on stuff upto about 5mm mines been brilliant, especially if you lash up a few jigs, such as ones for cutting circles and tracking templates. I've turned an old gas cannister and a sheet of metal into an R2-D2 log burner which sold for about 8x the cost of the plasma cutter and welder so left me with the units for free and about £500! It's also been useful for modifying an old set of gates and literally saved me days (not to mention effort) on my ongoing campervan conversion project. I've been nothing short of amazed by the quality for such a low price!

Have you purchased items from Lidl before Lee? Here in Ireland there are some great bargains to be had. I bought a mig welder from Lidl for €99, it is amazing.
Резачек держи перпендикулярно. Где будешь резать помаж маслом или любой смазкой И сопло тоже. И не спеши. Заметишь разницу.

Добрый день, данный плазморез довольно интересный, подойдёт для автослесаря так и для домашнего использования, отрезать лист, трубу! А насчёт того, чтоб смазывать маслом поверхность или колпачок (защитный экран) не рекомендую! Да, первое время колпачок не прелипает но современем налипают окалины и есть возможность привариться до металла, знаю по личному опыту, работаю боле 5 лет на ручном плазморезе HYPERTHERM PAWERMAX 105!
На 10ти милиметровом листе спешил ( полного продува небыло) с такой резкой будут сопла и катоды сгорать

Nice video. But I'd like to know what settings you used for the various thicknesses. What amperage, air pressure.
€119 in Lidl in Ireland, bought it but havent tried it yet.
In 1cm width, you has a very high speed of cutting viewing sparks. You have to have a right angle of gas and sparks.
"The arc should exit material at a 15-20 degree angle opposite the direction of travel"
Between -75º to -80º if you consider 0º the horizontal and -90º the perpendicular to the floor. Never sparks should go over 0º, the speed is to high.
Did you connect the machine to an air compressor? That's it?

5:00 you cut too fast, the sparks must go down because when they go up the material does not cut well and can destroy the nozzle in the cutter.
I think I destroyed the nozzle yeah. Will try better technique next time.
Thank you for detailed presentation. It would probably do better on thicker material with bigger compressor, it seems to run out of force.
Go slower on 10 mm plate, and add description on 5:45 that you actually cutting aluminium pipe, a lot of people dont know that plasma can cut it... good video. That plasma cutter can cut stainless steel 10 mm thick, and 12 mm cast iron as well...

I have tested the parkside perforator, it just worked 2 days. I bought a bosch, 3 years after, I still use it....
I bought a parkside perforator 8 years ago and it still works fine.

Nice to see the different thicknesses. Thanks. Very instructive. Good to have a feel for the limits. The one thing I wonder about those Parkside tools is support, though. I looked for consumables (tips etc) for one of their welders and could not find anything. Is it better for the plasma cutter? If so, where do you get them? If not, are all those tools just expendables and throwaways when you need parts?
I have the same problem. I cant find the tips. Someone said that they found them in some random online shop from china... Gotta do some more internet searching.
Just look up parts for AG60 plasma torch. They are the exact fit.

Powerplasma cutters are the best. I really make good use of my everlast plasma cutter. You are going to have a lot of fun with that.
Yeah, I'll mostly use it for sheet metal up to 3 mm. Make a couple of stencils for radiuses and holes and it'll be lika a CNC haha
В Германии в Lidl продают инструмент этой марки позиционируется как бытовой но в сравнении с нашей китайщиной которой торгуют в фикспрайсах и других торговых центрах конечно парксайд выглядет достойно. вроде как французская марка.

As much as i think parkside make great DIY tools this machine might be underpowered, i just brought an Andeli Cut 50, £219.00 is what i paid of ebay, havent regretted it, i cut 12mm C chanels allday long and the duty cycle is unbelievable, if i can encourage anyone to get one, get that one you will be so happy and its the same color as Jasic welders so its lovely, great quality guys and girls

You don't need to clean your steel. That's half the point. Sometimes with the earth, yeah, but it will cut through paint and dirt easily enough.

I just saw a vid about the same cutter. The man demonstrate that it cuts 10 mm steel . Not so easy but he had a whole selection . Seems good enough . Are the power cables capabel for 40amp ? Reinhardt

11 to 12mm thick. I couldn't do it. But someone mentioned it might go if you use pure oxygen instead of just compressed air. And if you lift the torch 1mm off the surface. I'll try someday and let you know.

One question. Plazma always need a extra air generator? Its not posible that you buy a plasma on the 220 with a air generator inside. In work we have big old plasma cutter... i don't know the type or anything bcs its all dirty a scratched, but holy shit, i was cutting material that was 35 mm thick, it was cutting it like butter.

Отличный резак этим можно резать без ацетилена кислорода да ещё если поменять гнёзда можно и сваривать детали однако,далёкому от центра сельскому умельцу просто находка или я чего не понял.
