Dom is absolutely incredible.....best guitarist.
This is my obligatory "I WAS AT THIS SHOW!" moment! First time hearing Pulse Ultra, bought the CD the next day. Criminally underrated band, Dom is one the best guitarists out there STILL!
My dad died in 2011 in a motorcycle accident...but this video actually brings back a great memory of him. He took me to Ozzfest this year in Bristow, VA (DC basically). I was 17, and was making my way back from getting overpriced water. My dad wasn't hard to spot in his tommy bahama shirt and Cubs hat. But I saw the singer of Pulse Ultra talking with him lol... he left before I got back and I asked my dad what the hell they were talking about and he told me the singer liked his shirt. And then my dad felt the need to tell them they were good, but no one beats KISS live.
I miss him, and I miss music like Pulse Ultra. And concerts before smart phones...
Seriously underrated band! Their album came out a month after I graduated high school. I had never heard of them before. I bought a copy just cuz their name sounded cool. Once I heard the first track my mind was blown wide open and I became a fan. I thought for sure they were gonna become HUGE! Unfortunately, they fizzled out. The music industry can definitely be cruel and unfair.
More rare footage of underrated bands! Nice! One of the guitarists is in a band called The Chronicles of Israfel. I recommend you check them out. Underrated, just like Pulse Ultra. Unlike PU, they didn’t have any promotion to back up their albums or themselves.
0:05 Acceptance (Phase I)
3:00 Finding My Place (Phase II)
7:04 Glass Door
10:56 Build Your Cages
Id love to find out what the singer ended up doing
You're all awesome for even knowing who Pulse Ultra is! It's still a great album.
Breaks my heart that they disintegrated so fast
Pulse Ultra deserved something more than just a scathing Allmusic review. I thought they were pretty original in the scene at the time, but I guess music reviewers like Allmusic were getting tired of the nu metal trend and just didn't care about any of the bands.
dude, allmusic is a miserable market office in which all sorts of clerks and middle managers pour out their slowness and incompetence. If a small group doesn't pay off, it usually doesn't get more than 2 or 3 stars. Forget about this stupid bull shit and other sites with the same elite rats.
Allmusic is crap, and so is the asshole who reviewed Headspace, and it's not nu metal. Headspace is pure golden.
you know, i'm sitting here in Russia and listen for them and just cant get enough. If I would a kind of dollar millionaire, i'd spend all my millions for just them to gather once again, or twice or three times and be back on stage again, Zo and Dominic should unite again. :)
Daaaamn. That is so cool and rare.
As other people said it was probably the overall raise of nu-metal as a genre why some cool bands like this one didn't get as much recognition asthey deserved. Where do you find ANYTHING like that nowadays? It's like pure gold, I guess the time wasn't right.
This band really spoke to me from its soul. They had so much to say. They played my hometown in the UK supporting Taproot, thats when I discovered them! I remmeber that night so well!
Zo has one of the best voices I have ever heard. This brings back so many memories. Thanks for sharing
Fantastic voice- really wish he continued to make music.. lyrics were awesome too
Happy 22th year for this concert.
absolutely awesome
Love this band with a passion I wish they were still together, dreams are seldom what they seem *{::>_
11:50 Jeff accidentally takes the bass wire and Dominic looking LOL
God I should have seen them alive
5:53 : From Zo to Zip. XYZ man!
10:57
Great band
These gods
Underated
missed them :(
These dudes are really good , i saw them during a tour with 30 Stm and Chevelle . I dont tbink they fit the nu metal scene they were a little more progressive.
Unreal, saw them at ozzfest in 2002. 5 am here and just thought about it and here it is. God i love youtube.
It's sucks that the video cuts off at the beginning of Big Brother, this is my favorite song from Headspace. Never liked Build Your Cages btw, in my opinion this is the weakest song from the album but they decided to release it as a single lol
What is Zo doing now? Anyone know him?
Ive tried to find out forever hes like a ghost
Way too ahead of their time unfortunately
Sounds like Tool. Maynard J Keenan / A Perfect Circle?
Yes but a trillion times better than that overrated band
Anthony B right, this completely unoriginal and totally forgettable band that had one record and most people have never heard of nor ever will is FAR better than the multi platinum and vetted act Tool. Right.
I know we have our own preferences, but FYI: unoriginal and forgettable doesn’t mean terrible.
