    I just watched your last dna video and ended up here! Perfect timing because you just posted this 😂
    I got here searching for the African ancestry test after watching the last video so I’ll be on the lookout for it

    People with Irish (and sometimes Scottish) ancestry have Sweden & Denmark in their results, mainly because of the Viking influence in these regions a long time ago, or do I've heard a number of times, so the disappearance of this from your results may have been corrected into the increase you have for Scottish and/or Irish results previously. It's not always the case (I guess over the many generations many lose this, as when you get back last 2nd and 3rd great grandparents there a good chance for some of them you haven't inherited any of their genes, for a certain ancestor). It may come back, who knows.

    Mbuti are pygmies and khoisans are found in Tanzania, South Africa, Namibia and Botswana.

    According to AncestryDNA, I'm 98% African & 2% European; they missed out on a lot, such as the Indian (Taino and possibly South Asia) and French. I also learned that my maternal line (mums, mums, mum) is of East Asian origin, so I could have some Malagasy ancestry as well, but 23AndMe, I heard from people based on their results that they are more accurate than AncestryDNA as It pinpoints the regions of the country they are from even though their labelling I don't like and will give that to AncestryDNA, but I will still do it just to compare the two companies

    Do they go into more detail for the Cameroon-congo-west bantu?
    All bantu ppl dna will read similar, cause they originate from Cameroon- but most blk ppl in usa & South America are the ones taken from Angola

    • @sincerelyvali
      @sincerelyvali  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Yes, Ancestry provides more details about the regions. It's way too much to write on here but here is the broad desciption they provided:
      "Extending through the heart of Africa, our Cameroon, Congo, and Western Bantu Peoples region winds through tropical rainforest, humid savanna, and semi-arid desert. Starting about 3,000 years ago, Bantu-speaking peoples spread from an area around the border of modern-day Cameroon and Nigeria through much of sub-Saharan Africa in one of the greatest migrations in human history. Today the region is home to unrivaled ethnic and linguistic diversity."

      That isn't true in the U.S. at least. Only in South Carolina were Angolans the largest group of imported slaves. In every other colony they were mostly from other origins. In total only about 25% of slaves came from Congo, Angola and Namibia combined.

    • @Justafox305
      @Justafox305 Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@someonenew3478 it’s hard to know, usually it lists 40% came from Angola . In Virginia, they said the slaves were only speaking kimbundu, and the melungeons were started from a slave claiming he’s Queen nzinga’s of Angola secret son and the Angola penitentiary in Louisiana was originally named Angola plantation. The USA is claiming most came from Angola and Congo but ppl from other countries are saying that’s not correct. Who knows
