    What I can do if a patient decides to not participating on morning of the study.

    • @carolforde-johnston
      @carolforde-johnston  Před 6 měsíci

      In the UK Harvinder @harvinderkaur8288 patients have the right to refuse to participate in research anytime, including the morning of the study. You should talk through why they don't want to participate and answer any questions/ concerns but there can be no coercion from the researcher. A person absolutely has the right to refuse to take part on the morning of a study. The National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) has helpful information about consent and withdrawing from study too and you would be adhering to national standards of consent and recruiting for studues. I hope that helps.

      The NIHR offers free if you work in NHS or in Uni, see link: www.nihr.ac.uk/health-and-care-professionals/training/good-clinical-practice.htm
      I hope that helps.

      I think it's helpful to give an overview of benefits and challenges linked to delivering clinical research too if that's your title. I've linked some papers to give you some ideas. Although you could use pandemic as an example of a challenge when national policy was continually changing and in clinical research we have to adhere to any changing national and local standards. A positive linked to the research collaboration that took place to develop vaccine. Wishing you the best in your interview.
