What's going down everyone and welcome back to another adventure! Today we are ripping out the tranny and trying to take it apart and diagnose.. Let's see how far we get!
Dude you are awesome I super appreciate it!! I'll be comparing stacks shortly.. After all the inspecting and going through the gears while imaging where the shift linkage is relative to which gears are being activated, that's really the hard part on my brain 😅 I'll have everything (gear stacks, gear selectors) lined up great, start going through the gears and usually 4th the input shaft binds up and stops spinning. To my untrained eye looks like the ring that goes up to activate 4th seems to be just not going up all the way. Next video I'll try to get that exact thing all in one shot. Oh yeah we didn't take anything apart on the gear stacks, so at least all the shims and everything is still in the correct order. Oh well just gonna keep trying and thanks again for sending those to help me out! 🍻
@@DanWithTheWrench No problem brotha! Do you have a spare transmission that does go into every gear nice? If so maybe swap the input shaft and counter shaft over from the spare.
Transmissions are black magic. Praying to Soichiro Honda.
I'm thinking good fluid, staying positive! (1:34)
I think Good fluid 😊
You got it Dan! All the hard work will pay off
Thanks homie! Hopefully tonight will be the night we figure it out! 😁
Fluid is going to look brand new lol
I love your channel! Im learning so much and im so invested in jack black's story
You’re awesome and thanks so much for watching the videos!! Hopefully this coming Monday is dyno day so we’ll see how he does 😁👍🏼
Those gear stacks should definitely be lined up pretty even like you said.. Hmmm
Might want to have your buddy come over and inspect everything because something seems off. Did the magnet have any metal shavings stuck to it?
Oh yeah the magnet had some metal shavings, no chunks but yeah hopefully salvageable!
Hey Dan I sent you an email with some photos of the gear stacks and how they are lined up on mine. Maybe it will help 🤙
