- I'm back with Zhiyun's latest Weebill-S is definitely a step up from the Weebill Lab! There are a lot of great things to love about this gimbal, but the biggest feature is that it can hold your G Master 24-70mm Lens or heavier camera setups! ►geni.us/p7F28nu
I'm going to go through my standard gimbal tests and show you where this gimbal excels and what it can improve on! The Weebill-S is an awesome gimbal for those low shots and perfect for traveling. The fact that gimbals can be small and compact, yet hold heavier setups is really impressive. What do you guys think? Does size even matter anymore?

The first 8 seconds of this video should have automatically earned you another 20K subscribers. Great stuff. Some of your viewers may be interested to know that I just got the Weebill S for my Panasonic S1 and Canon 24-70 L II (with Sigma adapter). This is a very front heavy setup and I am having clearance issues as well. Also, given the size and weight of the S1, it does not fully balance and tips forward when the unit is off. However, the motors are so strong that I didn't notice any degradation in performance when shooting. I know I'm taking a hit in battery life and extra stress on the motors, but I'm okay with it at this price point and portability. It's a remarkable gimbal.

FYI :
when balancing the gimbal you should do every axis alone
you lock all axis , unlock just one balance it and go to the others
I agree 100%, just got mine recently and using this method you can easily balance the gimbal

Thank you very much!! I have the same setup as yours, but I couldn't get my 24-70 g master balanced on the gimbal, so I have to switch to the default lens that comes with the gimbal. But now I know what I can improve it after watching your video, thank you very much!

Can you answer my question please. So in order to connect my phone to the weebill s, do i need to have the image transmittor? So i can connect my phone to do some movement with out the transmitter?

Hi, Thanks for such a fun, professional video! I have two questions: 1. Do you need to buy the zoom attachment and image transmitter? Especially, do you need the image transmitter to use the app that you were demonstrating when you moved the gimbal via the phone's movement? 2. Are you actually still using this gimbal and how is it's reliability and sturdiness? I've heard that the gimbal has had a tendency to break (locking pins). Thanks again!!!

Hey - really nice review, and very thorough. appreciated - does this have a track and follow mode on the phone app? i.e. as you move in the room, the gimbal will follow you around? Seen it on some other gimbals and seemed a cool idea.

Thanks for the fun review! Would you use this gimbal over the Ronin S on a “Pro” shoot? I still rely heavily on the the Ronin S for buttery footage moving at fast and slow speeds and with complex angles. My main set up is the a7Riii and 16-35GM or 35Z1.4 🤔🙌🏽🔥🔥🔥🎥📷

Great video! With the phone app, I see you can control the gimbal w the camera motion, can the gimbal follow you if you were to put the phone in your pocket or does it have subject tracking

The Zhiyun Quick Setup kit is great. I have several and it makes life so much easier. If you buy a second tripod, you can have a lower grip on the Weebill S and have two handles to operate it.

Great video thank you. So you're saying the Sony A7iii with the 24-70mm 2.8GM works well on the Weebill-S, so long as you take the eyepiece off?
Every time I go from upright to underslung mode (or vice versa), my gimbal jerks and messes up my footage. Does this happen to you? Can you recommend a solution?

Took some searching on CZcams but if you tweak some settings, you can definitely get the Sony A7R3 camera settings to be configurable through the Weebill S. I had to change a setting from Multi to Single and from Auto to PC Remote.

I think Jason uses the RC2 quick release plate which helps put some extra weight in the rear

Learned a couple thing's. Can gimbals be set up to follow whatever the camera is focused on? I just got my weebill s, the record button work's for my a6400. I definitely want a z6 as well.
Yay! I was waiting for this review. Purchased and waiting patiently on B&H.... :) Perfect for my A7riii and travel. However, the thing I got out of this the most was that you clearly should have your camera sidekick in every video now, she already has a great personality...and will always be there to dance and laugh at your jokes. :)

You could probably add a small weight to the back of the camera so that you can move the center of gravity forward to counter balance the heavy lens and clear up that eye piece clearance issue. Love the review, I definitely want one of these for my z6 :)

I have a question. Can you pull focus with this gimbal and the focus weel without connecting the focus motor like you can with the dji ronin sc or do I have to use the motor all the time. I have a Sony a 6400.

What is the maximum weight this gimbal can support, will it work with a full frame DSLR?
Hey, I have the same same sony setup, one question, are you mounting the plate to the lifter base with just one screw in order to set the camera further back for balance? Otherwise if I mount the lifter base on the plate with both screws it's weighing too much forward and impossible to balance.
do I need to purchase two of the quick releases in order to be able to use quick release between both handle locations?
John Cunningham eXp Realty no, 1 is fine for both ports. The quick release mounts to the stick only.
Can anyone get the Weebill S control features on the R6 via USB C?
Hi nice vid, in regards to the video recording you can try selecting canon or Nikon instead of Sony in the camera selection menu, worked for me, to take photos I found that the gimbal will focus by pressing the middle button but so far only the app will actually shoot go figure. Hope this helps

Hi, I can't solve the eyepiece problem that hit the gimbal.
Is the only way to let the room hang a little forward?
Since you balanced the 24-70mm at 24mm does it limit you from going all the way out to 70mm? I just got the Weebill S and if I balance it at 40mm I'm having the same issue as you where the eye piece would hit. This causes me to be unable to completely balance the tilt axis when the camera is facing up.
