This is amazing, I’m so happy for you!
I’m hoping to go pre med and Brown is my absolute dream school (open curriculum sounds like heaven). Congrats on your medical school acceptance and I can tell you’re going to be an amazing doctor
Your courses seem so fascinating!!
Congratulations on getting in!!! Starting medical school soon as well!
Congratulations! Thank you for sharing.
Nice , good luck👍🏻

Good luck, you got this! Easier said than done, but don't put too much pressure on yourself to have a flawless GPA
Congratulations 👏🎉🥂🍾🎉🎊🎈🎂
Thank you 😊😍peaches you are so smart
Amazing 🥰
Do you have a video where you show your notes and how you do it? O never saw you taking notes like you showed in the video! Byeee and congratulations!
I talk about study methods here: czcams.com/video/vEjd1yjjMEY/video.html
Tbh, handwritten notes can be a huge time sink and I tend to avoid them as the years progress. For classes like organic chem, handwriting is necessary to write out mechanisms. For microbio (shown in this video), I mainly just typed notes directly on the PowerPoint slide, used flashcards, and hand wrote ONLY for condensed study guide summaries before exams. Hope this answers your question!
comp humanity emerging!
congrats on getting into med school WOW!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️ can you also clarify how you were able to shadow a surgeon? i’ve been trying but it hasn’t worked!
same here! did you have any luck being able to shadow?
Can you please make a video on how you can "succeed" in research?
Hey congratulations on the amazing performance! I am high school student who's about to apple for pre-med. I am an international student so I will be having a gap of few months before school begins. Is there any textbooks/study guides/free courses that you would recommend that could help boost me during pre-med?
Hi! Congrats on med school! Quick question, how were you able to shadow surgeons?
Congratulations on getting into medical school! Quick question, I notice that you do study guides before exams. I wanted to ask what tips do you have to make an effective study guide?
1) Use whatever study guide/outline is provided by your professor as a starting point, as these will be the topics directly tested. If not provided, refer to learning objectives or textbook chapter subheadings. 2) Avoid large blocks of text by using hierarchical formatting (highlight, underline, different text size for headings), 3) Make a linkable table of contents, this is easy to do on Google docs or Notion as a built in feature. Makes your notes a lot easier to refer back to. 4) Doesn’t always apply, but build a flashcard deck out of your study guide for active recall. Hope this helps!

Hey! Congrats on med school; I'm an incoming MS1 as well. Wishing the best for both of us! How did you get started with rug making, and what materials do you need to get started?
Hey, congrats! One of my fav questions! I saw a bunch of tiktoks about it and thought it would be a fun hobby. I made my own wooden frame (will link tutorials in another comment) and instead of paying for a very expensive tufting machine I just used a manual punch needle. Materials: wood and stuff to make frame, monk’s cloth, yarn, punch needle kit (Amazon), rug glue or aerosol super glue and felt for the backing
This video was fantastic and includes a tutorial on making the frame in the description: czcams.com/video/z0vVIoDMnwU/video.html&ab_channel=Opus
@@MayGao why would want to become a Physician if Physicians are being replaced with mid-level providers and machines.
@@user-lu6yg3vk9z
Because mid-levels are dumb as bricks and will only do the easy stuff. Robots isn't coming anytime soon and when it does your job will be replaced first before a physicians.
damn the grade inflation at brown is crazy
I’m curious as to why you were able to take the Chemistry course involving quantum mechanics, without taking BC Calc beforehand.
Can wait to see what medical school you’re going too 😆
it’s yale
@@sophialee4378 I think you just searched her name up and someone with the same name who is an associte for Yale medical school came up. Don't make assumptions.
I'm sure she's going to a top medical school 🤔
have i watched this video 8 times within the last 2 days? unshamefully yes.
My biggest concern about Brown is the amount of opportunities for research and shadowing available compared to schools like Case Western and Emory that are surrounded by hospitals… I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind speaking on the quantity of opportunities available? Congrats on a great undergrad career and good luck!
How were you able to shadow cardio-thoracic surgeons/cardiologists etc? Can you explain that process? I am a upcoming senior in high school
Hey , really interesting and helpful video, btw before choosing chemistry courses, you had a basic knowledge of chemistry? can you explain in some detail, it would help me, since now I am preparing to enter the university^-^
I think she means the basic chemistry class we have to take during high-school
@@Katherine-mj8sw ah got it
Btw I wrote this comment year ago , and now thank God I Am a Medical student 👩🎓😅😊
How’d you not take an extra year when you changed your major?
Do you recommend using an iPad for college or just a notebook??
An iPad is definitely a nice-to-have but not a necessity! i.e. I used paper notebooks for orgo 1&2
I want to do pre med going into college next year, any recommendation on what major should I take?
Hi may
Congrats!! Just wondering if taking a class pass/fail does anything to your GPA?
That’s a good question. Brown doesn’t calculate a GPA internally so I’d imagine it’s up to your potential employer / grad schools to interpret your transcript. For my AMCAS application, it appears that P/F classes didn’t influence my GPA and was in a separate section titled supplemental hours.
@@MayGao tysm!!
