Great experience to ride Billy, too much I think for our roads but a wonderful idea of a bike. More like a piece of art on two wheels than a serious bike. I’m glad manufacturers still make outlandish stuff like this.
I think if you already know you like it then when you ride it (as intended) it doesn’t disappoint. I have one, love it, so I am biased. Feels Royal. We can’t all like the same stuff ……
Yes, Royal… that sums it up nice. Exactly, not everyones cuppa tea, luckily we have an abundance of choice. For me, as a second bike, a weekend blaster, it’s great. But for me a need a daily commuter and a long distance machine in one. This is literally a case of “horses for courses”.
I just got mine four days ago...400km later I have to say I love the shit out of the bike. But I kept my 850 GSA because it just does everything better. Cold, rain, long distance, narrow mountain road etc. but the feeling on the R18 is just amazing 😁
My dealer (Group 1 in Portslade) also put me on a R18 First Edition when my GSA was in and I HATED it!!!!; uncomfortable, cramped and windy👎 However I did ride the Bagger at 2022 ABR and that was a totally different experience, a lot of fun, comfortable and the fairing made a huge difference. If I was in the market for a cruiser, this still wouldn't be at the top of my list for one simple reason; cruisers must have forward controls!!!!
I get it Billy it's big and looks just a bit to cumbersome and really for me "just a point of view'' that engine is just not suited to that style of bike and a lot of folks would disagree with that I know , and in the states I don't think Harley would be to worried about this as competition .😊 Personally I would rather have the 117 Low Rider S especially over here in the UK . Enjoy the ride mate and watch those cylinders when your filtering 😉👍

Yes, despite my initial reservations, its a laugh to ride, and it looks great, in a sort of U-boat kinda way.

Beautiful machine.
It is, just feels mental to ride. Comparatively speaking.
Fancy one of these as a second bike, think it would be a good “club” machine… but yeah, not great for every day use I suspect 👍🏻

I’ve heard some say the bagger has more vibration - how did you find that? 👍🏻
@@mystifiedaphid9295 nothing intrusive to be fair, boxers come with a familiar vibration though nothing bad🤔
