Toxic people have no place in our lives. Family or not, they shouldn’t be allowed in our life. Not only will they NEVER do or say ANYTHING positive, they will suck the joy out of you. Cutting them out of your life is the most healthiest thing you can do for you and your family.
I’m glad to hear Grandma is in an assisted living facility. She will be safer and the family will be relieved knowing help is close by in case she needs it. 🥰❤️
I just use cold water on sourdough. Probably your hot water is too hot.
Happy Father's Day, Bobby! My husband served in U.S Army in Vietnam and suffers from PTSD too, and we understand how stress can trigger more stress. So glad everything worked out for Grandma. 💕
That family member should've been happy for Grandma Gloria moving with you and Bobby and enjoying the warm weather, being around her great grandchildren and all the animals. Having weekly family dinners. She deserves to be happy and safe. Very sweet lady. Sorry that you and Bobby had to deal with a hateful person. Also, thankful Bobby (who makes me laugh sometimes - remember the fake cat) is feeling better. Take care!
Hot water will kill the yeast. It's best to use Luke warm, like for a baby's bath.
I disagree with that statement. Hot water actually helps to activate it.
It's good to hear Grandma is doing well and that Bobby is doing much better. It's good to see him.

I was just wondering if grandma got to take her cats with her to assisted living? My mom and stepdad live in one. It is so nice.
Bobby did a great job helping Grandma get her house cleaned out so she could just go into an assisted living facility.

My family had to cut some off on my moms side. They are not family any more. Just move on like you never knew them. Living farther away does help. It just has to happen for your own peace of mind. I get

Hi Cambrea and Bobby. My mom was in an assisted living place the apartment was beautiful. It is independent living for them. The apartment had safety nurses call devises in the bedroom and bathroom.
Medical was on staff because it was assisted living and independent living My mom had her dog to. So grandma Gloria and her cats will have independent living in a safe place I’m sure she will make so

The front of your home looks so nice. I love the bases and tops to the posts. Really finishes them off and makes them look more substantial. Also backing your signs and placing under the garage lights is really what that space was missing.
Good to hear that Grandma had an easier trip home and is settling into her new apt. I'm sure she misses your family and the Florida weather as you miss her. Sorry about your toxic family member. You are wise to place a wall there.

And think of it this way, it was a nice experience and transition for her before the moving to where she is now. The kids loved having her there, as you all did, but now she’s onto a new adventure. hi Cambria, there has been times in my life that I felt misunderstood by several family members and I know they’ve said some things that weren’t so nice but my mother once said to me, it is none of our business. What people say about us and what matters is that we know where our heart is and who we truly are, you, Bobby and your children seem like wonderful people who just tried to make grandma happy and that it showed that your heart was in the right place ❤️

No more explanation needed Cambriea & Bobby. Y’all stepped up for grandma & I would lay money that the “family” member causing the issues did not. To harass you & grandma to the point of it affecting Bobby’s mental health is NOT ok! And frankly they should be ashamed of themselves. I don’t know what happens to people when a parent or elders care is in question. It happened in my family & we too are estranged because of it. I say protect your peace, not everyone (even “family”) deserves access to you! The signs look great Bobby.

One thing I learned f rom The Rose Homestead, is if your water has chlorine in it, it won't rise. I use filtered water from my Brita.

When I start my Sour dough and it always works. I use 1/2 cup distilled water at room temp, and 1/2 cup of unbleached bread flour.

I’m so sorry your family had to go through this. Sometimes cutting out the negative people out of your life life for your own sanity. Otherwise it can cause a down ward spiral. I hope Bobby is doing better. I suffer from depression as well I really felt his pain . Prayers for all of ya

you guys are a wonderful family and I agree sometimes you have to cut toxic out of your life. I no longer speak to my mother, sister or brother due to toxicity. sometimes you have to choose the family you create and there is nothing wrong with that. I chose mine and I've never looked back. as long as grandma Bobby and you are all happy that is what matters. I'm glad to see Bobby is doing better. as a veteran myself I know the struggles. love to you all and to the stalker on their page, jealousy doesn't become you.

It was only 3 years ago that I was in the same position. I had both of my parents and I flat just couldn’t do it. I felt guilty too but I was not in the right mindset for it. A lot of drama and being very sick on top of my mental illness was not a good situation. I just wanted to share that because I totally get it. 💕🤗
Glad to hear Grandma is doing good. I'm sorry about having to disown some family members, but it happens in a lot of families. Those fur babies r the cutest! What actually is Minnie's breed? Glad Bobby is doing better. He has a great laugh. And I love reg margaritas with salt & ice!
A few days late watching, but as we know life happens. Some family is better to love from a far, sorry all that happened with grandma. Sourdough is tricky but so good when done right. I dont remember how I did mine its be so long ago. I do remember feeding it every 3 days and making bread every 3 days, all so kept it in the fridg not on the counter. I'll see if I can find my recipe. As long as your wearing clothes you wear what makes you feel comfortable.

Use bottled or filtered water. The chemicals in tap water can keep your starter from growing
I had a segrams wine cooler, strawberry margarita, last night. I've not had any alcohol in 24 years. Not because it was a problem, just because my husband won't touch it, so i just didn’t. We're in a situation right now (a ton of stress), so i just picked up a 4 pack....that drink you're making would knock me right out for sure 😂.
I know what toxic family member are like and I was like you , I chose my faily that I had made. be really kind to yourselves and go from strength to strength.

Bobby, my dad retired as a Master Sargent from the Army. He fought in WWII and the Korean War. He was also in Australia but I can’t remember what they called that one. He passed at 93 years old. He also trained soldiers how to shoot at Fort Hood in Texas. Happy Father’s day! Your signs look great! Sussie from Texas

I've always pray for him because weather or not any mental stability is always good and I have a brother ex military hope all are mentally and physically sound
