  • This will be my last warioware video for a while, so enjoy. Again, these are all my opinions and I would love to debate on this topic. I love warioware but I have a sinking feeling it won't be around in the near future. Hopefully Im wrong.

One possible thing that could've hurt Move It!'s sales was the fact that it was sandwiched between two Mario games (one of them being a mainline game and the other being a remake of a fan-favorite title). With those and a handful of other Mario games coming out, Move It! was just kinda forgotten. It's release was VERY poorly timed.

I want to pick up Move It at some point but it's release timing was very strange. At the reveal I was like, huh another Wario Ware? There wasn't really demand for it. These kinds of games need to release when players have the itch

    Personally, i wish i had D.I.Y again.
I only lost it because Mom was getting angry over a TV remote.

    i fully agree honestly
i always enjoyed warioware for its wacky nature, you never really knew what to expect and the early games displayed that perfectly. it could swap between simple stick figures and realistic graphics on the fly and seeing all the different and unique artstyles used really added to the charm.
it's sad that we're starting to see this less since nearly everything just seems to take the same style now. move it's a great game don't get me wrong, but it has the most forgettable microgames in the series cause none of them stand out. they nearly all use the exact same 3d style and there are little to no microgames that stick out in my mind. these games aren't bad at all but i enjoy the earlier games a lot more and the charm does seem to have been lost through the newer entries.

I mean, i'm not gonna spend 50 or 60 dolars in a 3h game, even if i love Wario. I'm still waiting for people to sell their used copies so i can get it for my collection, but brand-new? I bought Get It Together cause it was during the pandemic and i wanted more games for the Switch, but there are so many options now that i don't really care.
Btw, gz on the video getting picked up by the algorythm

I think Nintendo loves making the games too much to stop any time soon. I think in the developer interview for Move It! they even talked about what a potential 30-year anniversary game for the series could center around. I think what has hurt the sales of the games in recent years ultimately comes down to timing. With both Gold and Move It! being amazing games but released right when the system is out the door... that is why we see the decrease in sales. Especially with the latter being during the release of things like mario wonder.

    I couldn't disagree more.
Move it downfall could be credited to the lack of content for (60 dollars it's dry on content), lack of marketing so on and so forth- there's also the fact two mario games released around a similar time frame.
I will agree warioware is a game genre that not everybody cares for but imo everything pointing twords more recent warioware games failure is simply because more interesting things were happening at the time they were released or they were on dead consoles.
Warioware Diy - came out on at the end of the ds life span
Game and wario - came out on a dead console
Warioware Gold - 3ds was irrelevent compared to the switch
