The 765 R in 2024 is under $10,000 in the US. Great value for money. Your review clearly described the R as the best for road and daily use. Very complete video, as usual , on a great bike!

Thoroughly enjoyed this review of a bike I have nil interest in. Nonetheless it's always good to keep up to speed with what is out there.

Being an owner, I'd have to agree on your review. They are great fun bikes, more than enough for the streets, and thrive in the twisties. My only complaint is the traction/wheelie control can at times be a little intrusive under rapid acceleraton. I'd like to see a 6 axis IMU in the future.

This looks a great ride, Mark. Great engine, and that's the main reason I buy a bike. The usual thorough review. Nick

Thanks for this video. This is the best mc i have ever tried out. It looks great handles fantastic and that triple is so smooth with a lovely sound. The only reason i dont own one is because of the insane insurance cost. Here in Sweden they see this bike as an hooligan bike. The insurance cost is the same as an 1000cc sport bike. Hey my friends at the insurance companies. Im 56 years old and im not a hooligan. If you ask my children im very very old 😜 Nowadays the insurance company never consider the age as they did before. I will call them when im 100 and say now im really a hooligan and a safety risk 😉

I have a 2018 765R. Triumph did a full colour TFT for the R that year. Can’t understand why they went backwards to LCD and analogue rev counter for 2021. Using up stuff out of the parts bin I guess.

Another great video mark. I've added this to my list. The looks have grown on me recently. Need to choose between this and the GSX8R. Was debating the R7 but dismissed that one. Having a nightmare making mind up. Watched your video on Suzuki and you liked it didn't you?

@@markpulling12did you prefer the Suzuki over the triumph? Obviously different looks engine etc. reading loads of reviews on the triple and with it winning the MCN award seems a top rated bike.

I’d strongly recommend a test ride before you commit, if you haven’t already done so..

@@jayfrancis1429Hi Jay. I had a test ride on a cosmic yellow RS last October, because as an ageing sportsbike rider, I wanted something a bit kinder on my body. Probably like you, I’d read all the glowing write ups and thought ‘this is the bike for me’.
On paper too, it had everything I was looking for…. lower weight, better manoeuvrability, less aggressive riding position.
The bike I rode had around 250 miles on, so perhaps it needed a longer period of running in ?
I went out on it on completely factory suspension settings, and I do realise that it IS highly adjustable.
However, you can’t alter the spring rate, and that in my humble opinion is much too hard for a 75kg rider for road use.
It maintains a reasonable level on control on some A roads but B roads had it transmitting some fairly serious jolts straight up my spine.
That in itself turned me off the bike, but just to confirm that this ‘wasn’t the bike for me’ the engine vibes are very noticeable above about 6000rpm. There is significant vibration through the tank, seat and foot pegs. BELOW that point it is almost turbine smooth.
Perhaps I had a Friday afternoon special and that’s why I suggest you try before you buy.
On the other hand, you may also NOT consider my thoughts on the bike relevant to you ?

      @Maverick-moto Před 2 měsíci +2

@@jayfrancis1429 Hi Jay. I wrote quite a lengthy reply to your question but CZcams has somehow eaten it !
Essentially I believe the suspension is set up with too high a rate spring for me as a 75kg rider for road use only.
The ride is bordering on unacceptable. Yes it’s adjustable but the spring rate isn’t…
The other thing that put me off were engine vibes above about 6000rpm. You feel them through seat, tank and foot pegs.
Below that point it’s almost turbine smooth..

    I am really confused 🫠
Sometimes you are talking about miles and gallons and inches. The next moment you choose kilometres and litres and feets.
