I used to go to the Bruce Lee fanclub events in Bradford many years ago and was lucky to meet some great martial artists and actor's one of which was Jon Ben. Looking forward to seeing you this year my friend. Me and my wife have visited all of the past events and they are fantastic. All credit to Andrew Staton and his team, as they do a magnificent job. It was great meeting John Young who was invited on set of WOTD. He was in the British army and met Bruce whilst filming the office scene with Bob Wall and Chuck and took photos whilst watching it being filmed. Met him twice over the years. A nice gentleman. I've just ordered two tickets. It will be great seeing you in person. They're all a great bunch of people at this event we usually see the same good faces each year. I’ve just booked tickets for my wifey and me.She doesn’t know it yet though😅.We stayed overnight at the Weetwood a few years ago when she attended a convention for Head teachers.Wonderful place and I particularly enjoyed the few beers I had while she was at the convention 😅So we had to stay over,my plan worked to perfection

It's in Leeds cos that's where Andy lives. No, that's not really the reason. Andy is in Leeds and I'm from Barnsley. We saw the hotel a few years ago and enquired about doing the first one there in 2022. We liked it and built up a good relationship with the folk there so continued holding events there. It's not a case of holding events close so you don't have to travel; I make the hour trip to the hotel for the show. It's looking at what you know and what you can do.

Hi Stripey, glad you had a great birthday, and was really spoiled. I don't know If I could attend this. As It Is on a Sunday, like You I would have to travel up on the Saturday, and stay over night. I don't know If I will be fixed by then either. Money Is no object, as I have tones of that. I would be In agony all the time and would not enjoy It as I should. Pity It sounds great. They didn't really give us much of a heads up on this. With such a small amount of tickets. Keep On Going.
If its any consolation, I actually book a day of annual leave from my day job on the Monday to run the event and use the Saturday night and Sunday night in the hotel as a weekend away to catch up with friends who attend the show from Guernsey and the Netherlands. As for giving a heads up, we try our best; we advertise it on our page, through FB groups etc

In GOD, There is no pasted cardboard face, Ann is not committed to a hospital and there is no clay mannequin of Dr. Lang. These versions were broadcast on French-speaking television at the time and released on VHS. Are you aware of these versions? These were my Bruce's movies for a long time until the 2000 DVDs boxet. Thanks again for the good work.
Interesting to see the article you read refers to the BBFC as the British Board of Film Censors (it's Classification but Censors is more appropriate). These unelected hacks where the reason I bought a multi-region player back when DVD's first came out and I imported discs from the US if I knew a film was "modified" for the UK audiences.
It was called The British Board of Film Censors from 1912 to 1984 when it changed to The British Board of Film Classification. So if I'm referring to the organisation during the Bruce Lee Craze years, I call them by their title at the time.

Sounds like it will be a cracking day for everyone. If they do let you film, why not send a copy to Charles to put on his channel. When I belonged to the Bruce Lee society, Pam Hadden got us to write to James Firman and complain about the censorship. At one time they were asking £50 ( a weeks wages for me then) for cut version on Rank video of Way of the Dragon. What a rip off.😠

Interesting to see the article you read refers to the BBFC as the British Board of Film Censors (it's Classification but Censors is more appropriate). These unelected hacks where the reason I bought a multi-region player back when DVD's first came out and I imported discs from the US if I knew a film was "modified" for the UK audiences.
I did the same thing, fella, I bought a multi-region player too, region 1 disc were uncut compared to what we got over here. It was shocking really 👍
It was called The British Board of Film Censors from 1912 to 1984 when it changed to The British Board of Film Classification. So if I'm referring to the organisation during the Bruce Lee Craze years, I call them by their title at the time.
Bruce did sneakily film scenes in Italy for the film so you could do the same as a kind of tribute

Sounds like it will be a cracking day for everyone. If they do let you film, why not send a copy to Charles to put on his channel. When I belonged to the Bruce Lee society, Pam Hadden got us to write to James Firman and complain about the censorship. At one time they were asking £50 ( a weeks wages for me then) for cut version on Rank video of Way of the Dragon. What a rip off.😠
