TBH it sounds like Eddie knows how to motivate his best buddy to be his absolute best. So he's offering himself up.
Its important to remember that Brian isnt a bodybuilder, a powerlifter or an olympic lifter. He's a strongman. He will need to adapt his strength to the arm wrestling movements, but make no mistake his tendons and ligaments are already well developed. Thats what lifting heavy awkward objects with your hands will do for you💪

I think ArmWrestling is more of a hobby or a new passion maybe for Shaw, He certainly isn't doing it for money because he would get paid way more in MMA/Boxing or in any other ventures.

Brian Shaw is a nice, seemingly gentle guy until that competitive switch turns on. You see it sometimes when Eddie Hall is taunting him. Brian goes from nice and passive, I'm about to kick ass real quick.

Armwrestling makes far more sense than mma for Brian. He's over 40 years old. That being said, I don't think he can compete in any other weight class besides super heavyweight so to become champion he quite literally will have to become the best armwrestler in the world. Imagine adding that to his list of accomplishments. Pretty exciting.
