- The third and final private test day of 2020 organised by Scott Lewry of Yam Yam Racing. This day had around 50 cars and 1 bike signed on for a full days of testing. It was a cold one but still plenty of seat time for all those that booked in and no rain either!

I love British drag racing, the community and the passion and the history, but am I right in thinking that the UK is lagging somewhat behind that of the American drag scene? But that Supra was a proper piece of kit. Loved that
Mate, stuff costs a fortune over here plus you do know we have only 1 1/4mile track? and a thing called Winter LOL
Europe combined has easily the same performance. UK is very small but holds its own.
As Mark said we only have Santa Pod in the UK as a dedicated drag strip and it’s only open from March-October but the early and late months it’s too cold to really do anything spectacular.
@@markholroyde9412 I didn’t realise Santa pod was the only 1/4 mile track, that’s crazy! Great to see it open again as well after all the issues covid threw at it.
@@mk1kieran yeah it’s easy to forget how shite the winters are here. Hopefully global warming will start to raise the number of useable track months 😂
There's no shame in being miles behind the US at drag racing, it's pretty much a way of life over there, here it is just a niche interest and not something as ingrained into our car scene as theirs.
