- In this video we speak with Collin who has been an alcoholic for half of his life. He is originally from Elsies River. He describes the jobs he once had and how he ended up living on the streets. He is looking to get off of alcohol and is open to rehabilitation programs that might be offered. He spends most of his time in Green Point Main Road nearby Ultra Liquors.
Dear young people you lose nothing by choosing not to drink alcohol, never feel pressured.
Thank you for putting the spotlight on these people that seems "invisble" to the majority of the public.
Thank you for the positive and upbuilding comment 💚🙏 Everyone else seems to only comment on my terrible interviewing style 😬 Many blessings to you 💕
Thank you for sharing ❤ G-d bless Colin.
As long as it is going to be someone else's fault . . . No situation will turn positive for any South-African.
This man has had probably 10 times as many jobs in his life in comparison with what other South-africans who had put in 1000 cv's per year and in their lifetimes will ever get . . . And he simply fail to appreciate what he has. Real appreciation comes with ACTION.
Perhaps it is the perpetual pity that he feeds on that make him able to survive without much effort . . .
Each and every single time his excuse is . . . He did it because of "wrong friends".
A grown man with a mind . . . Not of a man.
Change begins with each and every one of ourselves.
God Bless Collin 😢🙏
I won't lie, this interview was very entertaining.
Right?! The banter with the friend had me in stitches 🤣
@@HomelessinCapeTown-tg5fdWrong friends, again😂
Story of his life it seems! 😬
God bless Colin please🙏
I hope young people see what the wrong friends can do to your life
just discovered this channel, that's a subscribe from me.
Yayy!! Thank you SO much 🙏💚
Only Jesus can heal him...
Alcohol is HORRIBLE
Try search for Dane in Somerset West. Sad story as to how he landed up homeless due to substance abuse
Hi there thank you for the comment. How would I search that?
What no. Interview is the friend on?
The friend's speech was slurry and his story was very confusing so decided not to post this.
😂😂 Give the friend a mic
Right?! 😅 The friend's Q&A ended up incomprehensible so decided to not post 😬
No these people don't like to stay with their family. He must go back to his family.
Sorry but i cant help but laughing. I love this guy! But as an ex SA over 30 years and my first thought is that the bergies have a voice. OMG he misses his mommy. Hoe jou beck endless entertainment eish i could send money to help
I know right?! And his friend that's constantly trying to steal the limelight 🙈 I also couldn't help but tear up when he said he misses his 'mammie' at the end, so sad 😭
@@HomelessinCapeTown-tg5fd it is sad 😭 thank u for doing this. You are strong!
Sounds like he is the wrong friend lol. Shame - feel for the guy
Poor guy 😓
You concentrate your efforts on Cape Town. You really need to come to Fish Hoek. You will be shocked when you see the homeless people living on the streets. Fish Hoek residents act POSH. They ignore the problem hoping it will go away. Fish Hoek is BAD BAD BAD... Please... Go and check the homeless people there. It's all swept under the carpet there. Sleepy beach town with a serious homelessness undercurrent. Go look. You will be astounded.
Thank you, will definitely make a trip there!
Oh yes!!
The lady is so right , I know 5 different white guys they move around and through fish Hoek and barely a week goes by and they have new takkies
What is wrong with a homeless getting new shoes?!? Wow
I know and help some of them. If you come to Fish Hoek you will find them in the alley behind the library. The also hang around in the carpark behind ShopRite especially in the mornings. You will get a good story from them. There are some interesting tales the have to tell. Do you know about The Love Project? It's a charity that helps them.
Terrible shame
Stop blaming your friends😂
Eish that's true 😬 Peer pressure does not exist, we are all responsible for our own actions.
