Sometimes the brain is unable to understand and interpret auditory information in a normal way. If normal hearing doesn’t feel normal for you, find out if you could be dealing with an auditory processing disorder.

Having CAPD myself I tell people it’s like radio static. When people are talking to me in crowded places my brain is focused on background noise besides what someone is telling me face to face. It’s a struggle. I totally will mis understand a vocal direction or command when there is a lot of other noise going on.

The challenge is real, and the condition is often misunderstood. Thank you for sharing.

My name is Maria. Do you have any recommendations on whom to see in Southern California, the San Gabriel Valley area? I'm really interested in this. I'm struggling with this issue. In my case I hear people mumbling and have to ask them multiple times to repeat themselves to understand them. Very embarrassing.
