  • In this video, learn how to create a corner wood shelf using the tools contained inside of Fusion 360!
In this video, we'll create a sketch inside of Fusion 360 containing the profiles of our shelving, then we'll use the extrude tool in order to extrude our profiles into components!

      Thanks for your tutorials!

Dude you are on fire! I loved your Sketchup Essentials but didn't want to pay a sub again, glad you are doing fusion now too. Set up a Patreon for Fusion Essentials and I will donate to that too.

Love your teaching style. Any chance you can do a stair tutorial similar to your Sketchup one please? Also how to export for laser cutting. Thanks

Complete newbie to 3D CAD of any flavor for woodworking. Set myself what should a straight forward exercise to model a rectangular plinth for say a chest to sit on. The plinth should have an ogee molding on the top outer edge and each piece has a miter on each end for the corner joints. I've managed to do it but its been very labor intensive and I'd like to see what workflow you would use to create the model.
A similar task which might have wider appeal here could be a picture frame with molding and miters.

Is it an issue now that you have multiple bits of wood under the same component? If you created a plan with a table like the last video would it get confused when working out how many bits of each one?
Taking this example and creating a cut list and even a cutting plan from a sheet would be great actually.

I've seen you manually labelling components with their dimensions in order to create a schedule of materials. This seems to me to be a potential source of errors. Is there a better way to export materials schedules from the model itself to maintain accuracy?
I'm particulalry thinking if parametric design is being used, the tables can so easily be incorrect. Thanks Bob

I would love to see how to take a wood working project and transfer it to a site like cutlistoptimizer.com. Cutlistoptimizer site allows you specify the materials you have on hand and figures out a way, if possible, to cut all the pieces from your stock.
From what I have seen in your videos and others, fusion 360 doesn't know that 2 components of the same size and material implies they are identical when making the parts list.
The other thing that would be cool to do is be able to dynamically calculate the internal volume of a shape, use case is designing a sub woofer enclosure.

I'd like to know how to get these designs to be cut out on a CNC router. Thanks
