this story broke my heart. I wish kids would realize how truly blessed and grateful they are to have their grandparents in their lives. there are many people out there including myself who would give anything just for one more day with their grandparents. I miss my grandparents every single day and grateful for the time I got with them. I remember lot of holidays where i had to sleep on the floor not because they were poor , but because there just wasn't enough bedrooms and i didn't care because I was at Grandpa and Grandmas house. I loved spending time with my Grandparents.

Thanksgiving used to be one of my favorite holidays when I was a kid, but ever since my grandmother passed away when I was thirteen and ever since most of my mom's family members stopped coming up to have dinner with us, it's been my least favorite holiday! Every year, something has to change or make me feel sad or upset on Thanksgiving, and that's why I'm always in a bad mood on Thanksgiving. Nothing has ever seemed to go right for me, and the only time I'm happy is when we start eating dinner, but other than that, Thanksgiving is my LEAST favorite holiday!
