A lot of these can be passed with the smoke bomb
3:27 hey, you actually don’t need to use the Super on the tiny robot clowns, you can actually jump up on the highest platform and jump over the ladder of them. You only need to use the Super on the cannons, if you are fast enough, you can use the last few frames of the Super and therefore you have more health when going to the end part, the sign, so if you get hit by the Pretzels or condiments or dropping off. Hope this helped you!

When I first saw P rank I was confused and then remember the pacifist thing existed and got really excited and thats what sparked me to complete all the run n guns pacifist lol

you make this look so easy and quite frankly having the charm for 2 extra points of health is recommended, also the slow playthrough and explinations are EXACTLY what we needed should we decide to try it, most beat around the bush and dont even say when to use supers or what strategy to use, thank you so much and hopefully we could team up in cuphead sometime
ngl for most of em i just used smoke dash, w key gaming and brute force (the dock one i did while getting all the coins and didnt parry pink enemies cause i didnt know they didnt count as enemies lol)

Finally completed this one. I did the levels in reverse order. Perilous piers almost made me ragequit. Then rugged ridge made me ragequit. Tried again the next day and beat rugged ridge, the other 4 were a breeze comparatively
perilous piers and rugged ridge are the only two i haveleft and this is not at all reassuring

@@CodColdWarhighrounds well, everyone gets something in their life they're proud of. Some make millions off crypto, some turn their passion into a career, some get to party hard and make lifelong connections...You get to complete Rugged Ridge in less than an hour.
If you own DLC, it's so much easier as Chalice, especially the second half. Double jump allows you to easily avoid most of the obstacles.

This is a really well made video. Didn't talk when you didn't have to, no corny narration, descriptive instructions. I don't own cup head and I couldn't see myself trying pacifist if I got it, but I really enjoyed this video.

Personally prefer smoke bomb, lets you skip mini bosses without invincibility, but this works too
Also makes the general level easier to get through.
Same here. I've found that smoke bomb saves me more than just 2HP most of the time, and gives slightly more mobility than the normal dash.
but dashing allows more precise jumps which if you are good at will always trump over smoke bomb even though it is considered the best.
True, although some mini-bosses are fully solid and you cannot smoke-bomb through them.

How to push P in Cuphead
I didn't realize that parries weren't considered "violent". That's what made most of those stages impossible from what I could see. Thanks for clearing that up.
A lot of people are saying smoke bomb. I actually disagree, more health seems to be way more useful in many of these levels, since smokebomb can't even bypass all of the minibosses. It's also harder to judge where you'll land when using smokebomb. Don't get me wrong, I used it for almost every boss through the game, but I tried a bunch of times with smokebomb for pacifist, and it seems that being able to take two more hits is much better.

I agree. Smoke bomb is great, but only for certain mini-Boss encounters. Sacrificing an extra hit point is more viable in nearly all situations.

For playing any game in black and white, turn your TV's Colour down to 0.

The hardest part in cuphead is wanting to look at all the cool animations and getting killed in the process.
I have a different strategy for beating the acorn maker in forest follies: Before the acorn maker you see the three mushroom enemies, wait for one to spit out a pink... gas? Smoke? Mist? I don't know and then lead that to the acorn maker and then parry on top of it when it's in position, then dash over the acorn maker.

This guide is very thorough and well made BUT instead of twin hearts you can use invisible dash! At the first run n gun you'll need to get a mushroom to shoot a pink ball and let it travel until it's near to the machine. Then you can parry it and get the extra height needed. On the run n gun in the circus you can use invisible dash to get past the dolls AND the cannons. Thus you'll have 3 hitpoints. U can sacrifice one on the mini boss and another one at the end of the level! In the stage with the cars and the pink cards if you stand in front of the mouth and use invisible dash just as the cars are coming out you'll be able to get inside the mouth without losing hitpoint ( probably cause all the cars haven't spawned yet??) Once you get to the final wall u just sacrifice a hitpoint and enter its mouth to get to the finish line! I haven't beaten the last two run n guns of ink isle 3 but the tactic I'm using doesn't require the usage of ultimate abilities and parrying however it may be slightly harder than the tactic shown in the video.
A pink parryable butterfly also spawns near the acorn machine. easily missed since the butterflies aren't typically a projectile to avoid.
And you can jump under the platform sacrificing a hit point
For the fourth one, you don't really need the super move for the end part. You can go through the mouth without taking damage when it opens. Using the super for the trumpets part was much more helpful for me.
I'm years late to the Cuphead train, but I got the DLC and have been trying to get everything I can out of the main campaign before facing off with King Dice and The Devil. Right now I'm in the middle of my pacifist run, so this video is really helpful.
I also didn't know there was a +2 charm I could buy. That's gonna be a big help!

NOTE: I made a perfect run on funfair fever while staying pacifist because I used smoke dash. It is by far the most useful tool on funfair fever. Simply dash through the cannons/dolls and duck then dash twice under the duck shooter mini boss. Now save your invincibility super for the hotdog and you can beat the level. I’m not saying your doing it the wrong way, I’m saying I found smoke dash WAY more useful.

Just one addition. In forest follies I believe the intended strategy to get past the mini boss is to parry a projectile from the rightmost mushroom guy on the ledge. He'll always shoot it on an exploitable downward trajectory as long as you're on the edge of the ledge and it'll almost always be pink. The "double jump" using the super feels kind of like cheese.

In forest follies you can actually get 5 cards at the start by staying on the floating platform or the one below and farm the parriable mushroom shots, you also can't be hit by the flowers while on the platform

I really enjoy Cuphead. I was late to start playing it but I just finished it yesterday and am looking forward to beating all the bosses on expert. Even though the bosses took many many attempts on my first playthrough I kept going because it was fun. I have one main issue with getting the Pacifist ranks on all 6 run and gun levels.....it isn't fun. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I find getting the pacifist ranks to be very tedious and not fun at all.
Perilous Piers took 45 minutes. 45. FORTY FIVE MINUTES I LITERALLY NEEDED TO MAKE IT TO THE STUPID OCTOPUS WITH 5 HP AND A SUPER WHAT EVEN IS THIS GAME
