Shaheen Gul is a Baloch-Sindhi trailblazing female Chang player hailing from a village in Badin. Breaking stereotypes through her instrument, she promises an unforgettable performance at Lahooti Melo 2024.
This percussion is found in various cultures dating back from 4th century BCE. Changg in Sindhi is also called mouth harp, jaws harp, jew's harp, and lamellophone. Playing the Changg takes a lot of practice and dedication. The instrument can be used in a wide variety of folk music, but can also be used in experimental projects.
