One thing I like about this game is that the whole 'Oh no, I can't tell the truth!' thing is actually justified. Normally when they use that kind of plot in stories, you're sitting there rolling your eyes like 'JUST TELL THEM FFS' - but in this one you can understand that trying to keep a nine-year-old safe and fed (as well as yourself) is hard enough without also having to deal with the fallout that news would cause.
