Yeah, that ending is perfectly in line with the luck that character had throughout his life. Great story though!
In every flyover shot in the vid, if you look close enough you can see Barry in some random patch of trees freezing his testicles off and blinking red health.
Barry is omnipotent on that map I believe!

the edges of the ponds are actually frozen (can see pieces of ice floating), and filling bottles/canteens at them gives you frozen water. And there is indeed a small frozen lake just north of Athena-2.
@@thehavoccompany-a3 im really not being that guy. I understand why it isn't frozen and I accept that. It was just funny to me. But it would still be frozen. Especially at that size. Which would be cool to have ice fishing

This game is absolutely amazing. There are so many things going on under the hood. Just the fact that the guys gun jammed at THAT moment is a great example.

Namalsk has a lot of things that show evidence of it still being in Russia. There's a large town with large apartment buildings and same style school building the persists in Prijyat Russia (or more known as the ghost town of Chernobyl) there's also an abandoned church just outside of the town just like in one of the villages in the zone also has a church that was built after the accident but was later abandoned. also, there are high voltage power lines all across the map and larger open plains consistent with the landscape of the excursion zone.
I remember watching the wolves and tents part live on your stream and I must say you did amazing to stay alive during that duration.

You're truly a positive to this game, you make it look so action packed, shame when I play I spend half my time in a black and white game due to loss of health. You keep pulling me back and keep me interested, next time just maybe might be the final leap home....

i love Namalsk. ran into my first bear, got killed. went further south to the snow peak, saw a bear b4 it saw me, shot it, it charged and got me but i killed it with my 12 gauge slugs, then a pack of wolves attacked with 3 bleeds stacked lol...gottem with my .357... and barely escaped with my life. flashing red health and blood. always a cool adventure
Great vid. Nice one for going for it at the end (and fair play to the other guys for going along with it too, was tense waiting for the voices to get closer) but it did look odd as you chinned him with four of those shots IMO, he should've been toast.

Ive watched the Stream and it was so Intense, every time u nearly died the chat gone crazy. It was like a endgame of some sport event, my whole Body was shaking every time! What an epic adventure. I love this video. I know it was frustrating being stuck up there with all the wolves and zombies but damn was that entertaining!
One thing that really kills this game, is the aggro right now. I love the difficulty however, it seems like all of the other zombies aggro just because you are trying to kill 1. What I mean is , there is no more Stealth when killing zombies because your character Grunts when they melee. Grunts are extremely cringe and arcadey.
By the way, that camp at 30 mins can be looted around the zombies using a bit of stealth. Done it a few times. Maybe the odd one sees you in a tent and you can take care of it.
Otherwise, my tip for that area is that there's a tiny shed to climb on nearby and you can load up your single shot and clear out the zeds from the roof on bullet at a time.
If only I’d had a gun for the main vid to shoot! There’s been too many zombies to close together for me to stealth them.
@@TheRunningManZ yeah your situ was dire. Well, one other tactic I had when I did have a gun (but sparse ammo) was to shoot a bit aways from that camp to draw them into the woods, and lose them. Then inch my way back.
But another great tactic for anywhere with a big shipping crate... ring the dinner bell and climb on the crate. Stand near the back and all the zombies rush inside to find you. Then you can stand over the doors and (it takes a while to get the 'F') close the door on them from the roof! Did that in Vorkuta last night. Trapped about 10.
Loving your video as usual. it takes me back to Namalsk on the mod where we had bloodsuckers to contend with too, always my favourite map tho all the same.

i read through most of these comments and couldn't put it any better. honestly couldn't play it myself in it's current state; Maintain hyper focus for hours to get screwed by a bug. Not for me, but love watching Paul hash it out and enjoy himself.
That intro was great! Shows how fragile life in game can be! I'm only about 5 hours total in my Dayz journey and I can't wait for that moment me and some stranger I team up with and become close friends with and on our journey he gets head shotted while fishing or sitting enjoying a fire lol. Such crazy moments and doesn't seem like there is anything like it. I'm about 2-3 hours in on my most recent character and feels so great gearing up a little bit and just staying alive. Even tho it's on a low pop server I couldn't survive past an hour in my previous few lives

This is why DayZ still remains such a one of a kind game. Other games try capture aspects of it, like PVP in EFT, but it's so different even then it doesn't feel like as much is on the line - it's got more in common with Battlefield than DayZ. You KNOW you'll find someone quick in Tarkov, with an untouchable stash as backup, in DayZ you can go though all this without seeing a soul for an hour, despite dozens of players in the same boat out there...somewhere, so when you do it's so intense and feels like more is on the line. 8 solid years of it since May 2012 and I'm still not tired...need to make videos again.
Also I'm really keen to see Survivor Gamez again. Can someone plz bribe Hicks to set it up? Have the bigger streamers invited and a qualifier event for a couple wildcard players. I was watching the old Namalsk Survivor Gamez again from Sacriels POV and it's so good (recommend watching)...it reminds me how incredibly janky the mod was. Would be flawless in comparison to that if we did it again on Namalsk.
the "event" must have been a stalker referance? soundeffects etc from emission/psystorm, love it!
