  • The most forgiving golf driver of 2023 is still a question yet to be answered by the majority. In this video we will be seeing if TaylorMade have brought a key contender to the fight this year, and if it is any better than the old Sim2 version from 2 years ago.

    I ordered a Stealth 2 HD , currently gaming aSim 2 but not the draw version, what I found was an improvement in accuracy and a slight bit of speed but looking for accuracy. I demoed the Stealth2 hd and over three rounds I missed only 2 fairways ( in the desert) where I had to take an unplayable lie so that pretty much sold me on it, and I was fitted for it at a demo day. Great review guys.

    Still playing the OG SIM here -- I tried the Stealth plus but found it spun up too much for me -- I need to keep spin under wraps and still find the first SIM to be the lowest spinning head for me -- great stuff guys!

    Had a fitting during the week. I was playing a Ping G425 Max. With the Stealth 2 HD i was getting 13mph better ball speed. Accuracy was pretty much the same, but the big increase in ball speeed meant longer drives

    Would love to see an accuracy comparison of Stealth 2 HD vs Ping G430 SFT. Which is better for combo of accuracy and distance?

    Always a great review professional review!
    So, are we completely maxed out on distance on drivers now??
    New TM in “Blue” should be somewhat interesting or not…

  • @lawrence5678
    @lawrence5678 Před rokem +2

    I’m a mid-handicapper (hoping to be single figures).
    I moved from the Cobra Radspeed to the TM SIM 2 Max D as I tend to miss right.
    I also have acquired a TM Stealth Plus, but have it set to the draw bias.
    I find the SIM 2 way easier to hit, I find personally I lose the Stealth Plus to the right, the Stealth definitely feels more solid to hit, but not as satisfying so I’ve moved back to my Sim 2.
    I get very similar numbers to DH in terms of ball speed/carry (but less consistency)! 😆

    i have the SIM 2 MAX and and thinking of getting the STEALTH 2 HD....I'm 58 and i want accuracy over distance....mind you both would be awesome....just not sure yet though....cheers from Canada

    This test just proves that we should not be buying new drivers so frequently. Wait 4 or 5 years, the tech doesn't change that much; or if your swing drastically changes or you get much faster or become a much better ball striker then you should buy sooner, otherwise wait. Spend that money of good lessons or save for when it's a good time to buy., Also, you can always buy last years model at a cheaper price. Cheers

  • @tho70mas
    @tho70mas Před rokem +1

    Hard to justify the price with that "difference"! Swapping my driver approximately every 5 years and since I'm getting older and slower means I maintain rather than improve😁

  • @wessims3412
    @wessims3412 Před rokem +11

    I would never buy the new driver for the price they ask which is absolutely crazy, when you can go and buy a Taylormade SIM2 in any version for a fraction of the price and since this is human testing…. It’s a dead heat. Carry is identical and overall distance is virtually the same. Get 5 more people to test the clubs would be likely very similar. But I’d say longest drives overall, go to SIM2. The new clubs look jazzy but are all hype. I don’t buy into it at all.

      @@precise_2k15Sim 2 max is supposedly More forgiving but the original sim 2 is already forgiving enough so I'd just go with the regular sim 2.

      Right. Who the hell buys a new driver every year unless you have the money and want the latest and greatest of course. $600 is absolutely ridiculous. Now the QI 10 is out at $600 and you can get the Stealth 2 for around $350. Personally I hit the stealth 2 better so I got the HD recently.

  • @mikemcgowan1

    Good comparison chaps. I know it's different for every golfer but with the numbers that you both got, it wouldnt justify a change in driver, apart from having something new in the bag. Best bit of the review was dan off camera 'thought it's meant to be draw bias' 🤣

    Nice comparison guys. I have a SIM myself and although the hype on the Stealth 2 is interesting I doubt very much that I will buy a Stealth 2 to gain not a great deal. I noted something which I couldn't understand really and that is the difference in the shaft. The adapter is the same for both so you could have changed them to maybe give a better comparison. Lee said he was fitted for the SIM 2 so that shaft potentially gave him optimum launch etc, why not put his shaft in the Stealth 2, potentially would be better. No matter, just a thought

    I hit my SIm2 Max dead straight 300-310 yards with my best swings and the Stealth 2 maybe 1 yard further overall. Just not a great improvement to justify a switch - SIm2 is just a beast of a club it sounds looks and performs beautifully for the last 2 years it’s a real weapon.

      Sim 2 max Is supposedly More forgiving but I find the regular sim 2 forgiving enough. And for some reason I hit the regular sim 2 further then the sim 2 max, max d, hd whatever nonsense. I would get the max d if u struggle hitting the ball right tho.

    Seems typical across all the new releases, up to 20% price increase with a 0.5% performance benefit (for one manufacturer I tested a 3% drop in performance [for me with my very slow swing speed]). When are the manufacturers going to wake up to reality?
