    The camera angle makes the change in direction appear exaggerated. Saka was a top speed and made an attempt to evade Neuer. This solo camera angle should not be used to judge the whole ordeal.

    The first thing I noticed was the unnatural wideness of the Saka’s legs……y would your right foot be that wide and high in the air when the ball is all the way to your left …..good decision for me……he could have easily went around

      I agree that it looks like that, but also take into account that Saka is in full run and suddenly he changes its direction, so it needs space to turn sideways. 50/50 - interpretation of the referee...

    Saka is basically in front of the ball, it looks like he left it behind and ran towards the keeper to get the pen. Saka isn’t playing the ball in that replay
    The keeper would literally have to dive out of the way to avoid contact

    • @packing999
      @packing999 Před 2 měsíci +4

      Shaka knocked the ball left, he then has to move his body left.. which involves planting your right leg. At the speed he's going he can't just pivot around neuer. Neuer is still moving towards sakas left when contact is made. Showing intent, and he didn't get the ball. Maybe saka could have done more to avoid him... But why should he, that isn't how it works, neure moved towards the ball with his right leg, closing the angle. It isn't as black and white as people are making it sound, I think it's a pen. But from the refs angle it is harder to tell

      @@packing999finally someone said it if you watched from all angles you will see clearly the Neuer moves his right leg at the last min to trip him and that how contact was made, Neuer was never going to get that ball, if Neuer stood still I would've been fine with no pen but because he did that it's a pen all day even if saka was looking for the contact.
