My mother is not a victim but a survivor of domestic violence. Growing up living with my mom and dad, having to see my mom get beaten up everyday by my dad, being forced to have sex with him, I'd scream and yell for help cause that's the only thing I could do & help her. I'd sing for her & she'd cry and say "baby it's all gonna be alright, God will answer our prayers" she's my hero, she's a strong woman.

Drained and tired. I pray for stregnth for every woman in South Africa. We've cried, we've fought and still everyday another name is added to the list. We cannot do this on our own. Men stand up, do something, help. We are crying for help! Sabelani! Askwazi ukuyhlula lento sisodwa! Your silence hurts, it's painful. Help us stop this. Asiyazi nento esbulalelwa yona! Living in fear of men is not a small issue. Sabelani nisncede.

We should be seeing this song on television everyday, we should also be hearing this song everyday at midday after the National Anthem. This song is a prayer and a campaign to plead with men to stop killing our sisters, mothers and partners.

Lord you name is their relief and unfortunately us in our weak state can not save them but we know you can. Help them stay strong Lord and let them know You hears their cries, the time of waiting for his return is not long. Hold on to Jesus.
Now to us that can make a change let us stand with our sisters children and brothers by fighting against the system thats not keeping them safe, let us get funds going for safe houses and shelters and also means on outing the perpetrators. All let us pray and fast together for change in our country starting with femicide, abuse, and trafficking then moving to xenophobia, inequality and racism and....

I'm only discovering the song today. How come is it not trending? Our country and the whole world needs to hear it. It needs to reach each and everyone whether effected or affected by GBV.
Thank you to the brains behind it. Our country needs to heal.. And here is our start..
