His hand over the chair is very subtly protective (not aggressive just suggestive). That is an very telling.
I still cannot get over how real she is on camera! There are maybe two or three child actors (at that age) that totally steal a movie by their performance, make it so believable, and she is by far the best I've seen at drawing you into her character and the movie.
This is incredibly sweet. There is just something about seeing a handsome, talented, man who is good with kids. I already thought he was an amazing actor and incredibly sexy, but seeing this, my opinion of him just skyrockets.

as shy as she is.. I think she is going to be a good actress as she gets older and evolves into her own sense of style and personality. Having actors like julianne moore and Alex Skarsgard are good to set examples of acting dynamics and learning how they develop their characters to make the story and the entire movie flow. So Yes I hope she sticks with acting..

ok, I was already crushing on alexander skarsgard before I saw this interview... but the way he interacts with the sweet little girl, esp. at the beginning of the video, made me adore him even more. I agree with other comments--seems like he'd be a great dad!

there so cute togehter. Its like hes her protector and thats what he is in the movie too. The poor Girls is between the fight of her Parents and Lincoln and the blond woman >.< are given her back the Childhood. Thats the thing i liked most on this movie. i know its bad english but its not my first language!

Man is really interested in his job. He has done so many different roles in his career. I admire him for that. From a vampire badass to a pervert to a father and a guardian in this one. He wanna be known for his acting abilities and its awesome. All his brother too.
I loved these two together in the film. Their scenes together were touching. It's so sweet how Alexander strokes Onata's hair at the beginning of the interview. It was very fatherly. Alexander will be a wonderful father.

Yeah. That energy Alex talks about is called childhood. They’re natural actors. Make believe is what they do. I don’t think she should stay in the industry, though. If past child acting testimonies can be believed.

Fine, fine, movie--great acting; love it! Onata is a charmer--for sure. The movie is clever in the way it takes a child's view; e.g., sometimes, what Maisie doesn't see, we don't see either. I checked Box Office Mojo. To my amazement, the movie started in only 1 theater and only got up to 122 theaters. Domestic gross is only $1,066,471. This seems really crazy since it got 88% and 84% at Rotten Tomatoes. It's now out on DVD & for downloading (including rental). It deserves success.

Just finishd this movie and I loved it, especially the characters like the little girl, so adorable... you trully felt for her as she gets shoveled around, with no real place to call home. Juliannes character was so mean and aggressive, I wanted to save the girl from her crazy mom! Good acting and film.
Gorgeous and lovely man, hope he has his own kids some time soon, preferably with me, haha!

He is a little over 6'4". The advantage of the metrical system is that it is much more accurate than the one used in the US. 6'4" is more like 1.93m. So, for Alexander it is much more accurate to say that he is 6'4.5".
I think it's funny when they include children in these interviews. Onata is a good actor but they film it so the only thing she has to remember is to not look at the camera directly. It must be so surreal to have a job when you arent old enough to comprehend the entirety of what's going on
I love the film. He is so sensitive and then this casual look . But there is one thing annoying me . The voice they gave him in the german synchro is terrible, its not Erics ...okay I see the english version then, but some people cant and then its frustrating no Alex timbre for them!!!
