I’m a ACE certified personal trainer but quit my job as a trainer in a gym 1 and a half years ago. Now I freelance as a personal trainer and earn 10k per client. Keeping 8-15 clients will keep you very satisfied for a long time . Just focus on learning how to sell your product/service and on client retention . Don’t work in a gym as they will eat 80 % of your profits.

Remember my third day at gym when I asked trainer which exercise to do and trainer said "personal training lelo ek month mein body ban jayegi" 😂
Same experience on second day. I said can't afford it, he stopped pursuing and lost all interest on me. 😂 Just charted some 30 odd exercises dividing those in three days and told me to repeat those for Two months.

I was employed with international G***s gym, India. My salary was 8k/month for 1 year. When I promoted as a personal trainer (sal 9k)those money suckers so called management started giving target of 1 lakh/ month PT amount collection from new members. I failed to collect this much of large amount in second month. And finally they forcefully terminate me. I questioned but again "company policy," they are the owner, you can't do anything. I was frustrated bcoz in 8-9k how personal trainer can manage their diet, protein, rent and other family expenses?😢

Good review by Akshay sir,I need to share certain realistic truth to this video,I have worked as freelance personal trainer for the last 20 years and now running gym since 5 years as a owner,so i can share both the side of story,Running a gym with investing all our hard earned money ,by buying expensive gym equipment ,paying exaggerated rent ,high electricity bills , maintenance of gym equipment,have to face 3 to 4 month of dry spell of sale in the gyms due to festivals ,exams, vacation,and all,facing tough competition from nearby local gyms ,but still I have created a opportunity to my trainers to earn a very descent amount of money,we pay around 30 to 50 k incentive to each of our trainer ,though basic salary is very limited,and even trainees do more of personal training ,so they are with me since 5 years ,as they have seen personal and professional growth,and being a gym owner lot of money is at stake ,it is both side of the story

Hats off sir.. truly appreciated. Start a program to expose all such gyms. This will be remarkable step in fitness industry.
This issue can be easily solved if only certified trainers are allowed as instructors in Gyms. Since the supply of certified trainers is less, the wages will have to rise to fulfill the demand. If no certified trainer is willing to work for less than say 30,000 per month, then this will become the new minimum wage for a trainer.
If any random person is allowed, then due to a high number of unemployed poor people in the market, there will always be people willing to work for 6,000 per month. This is simply supply and demand at work here.
there is a massive influx of certified trainers too. A trainer will only be able to earn with PT, base salary is always 8-15k. But the scenario in local gyms, average gyms is really bad.
This is why most of the good trainers get demotivated and under pressure of not achieving targets diverting from the industry.....labor ministry need to consider this inhuman treatment with a trainer

I live in russia ..cheapest trainer who is certified is 8000 rubles i.e 10000 inr for 10 session and people also treat them like a teacher....not like in indian gym who treat them like garbage i am glad i dropped the idea of becoming trainer ..after workingout in indian gym ( now i am a doctor)

i used to go to a gym where the salary in 2013 for a trainer was 3500 pm. he was then given offer of 5000 if he does morning and evening shift.

As per my experience most of the gym owners don't even know the abc of fitness. Majority of them are swollen (behind the scene progress) and want us to be like them...swole. Go to any BIG gym and you'll find real trainers frustrated with their life. They want us to work in shifts, want us to make forced sales, not a single paid leave we get and how can we forget HOUSE KEEPING. I went to 5 big gym's and the max i was offered was 10k.

I joined as front desk in GoldsGym Saltlake Kolkata, back in 2013, after my MBA, I had prior knowledge in fitness and experience of working out frm 2000, as I alwys worshipped & respected workout as everything to me, also learning always continued , even now through your and few others channel, although very basic Certification, because of these various reasons of more expenditure than earning.. but somehow I am doing satisfactory and altered my earning through enriching of job with fitness training by creativity. All these mind storming because of this thing of the Country on which you made video. Earning cannot be trusted in fitness alone for whole life like in most of other jobs in country which can somehow pay us in age of 60+ or more, as but not as some gym trainer. This I found in 1 year by 2014, but still I continued with it, I even left the Gvt. Serv. Preparation which in this country is like next to God, we all know why, which I did for 2.5yrs with clearing, though not many but quite lot of job exams , but at some stage not selected finally like interview, or medical etc. ; I like this job so much. But such is the CASE IN COUNTRY , I WOULD SAY 95% Gyms like this, except few like yours. Gym jobs and matters are simply of no value in this country. People would pay 10times more to medical industry than fitness. I therefore dont have much respect for doctors as I now know how the doc. are supported by various means, starting from Medical Reprsntv to various superpowers like smth related to even these covid matters.. I CAN SAY PROUDLY , ME AND MY FAMILY NOT VACCINED FOR COVID, Family consist of 84yrs capable Father and 72yr Mother and my Mrs also a lady trainer. This much I believe in Nature and real lifestyle not the fancy one adopted day by day with proud by many here copying from westerns.

Sir I am I member of Talwalkars gym in Amritsar which you might be knowing is going in great loss. I had laid for the next year till July and now the gym is about to get closed. Many people have paid for one year few months ago. Chor nikle saale talwalkars waale. They didn't pay the salaries of our trainers too from more than 3 months. Many trainers left but some still stayed and few days ago they all left the gym. I could see the pain in their eyes when they got frustrated from not being paid. You're 100% right sir, there is very few respect for Gym trainers in India.

When I asked him ki me weight gain krne ke liye kya khau kesi diet lu to unhone boola ki paranthe kha khub daba ke mota ho jaega😂😂 after hearing this I immediately changed my gym. Now I'm working out in a gym who have a certified owner. He taught me alot and after some months I'm planning to work with him on his gym😊 .He is really a good guy and a awesome trainer I still love it when he correct my postures during exercises and motivate me to do one more rep😁

It's a business model. They pay fitness trainers very little so people don't get proper results cz FTs are always demotivated so people move to personal training and PTs get paid very highly where I live in Mumbai. Also personal trainers can take upto 7 people at a time for outdoor calisthenics, that's a 35000-70000 per month business or 500 on per class basis, but only the really knowledgeable ones get that not those "sadak chhap guys" you were talking about. Only new comers PTs will get 5000 and that too PER CLIENT, which is still much better than most other states.
Things need to change for gym trainers & coaches....they must get at least 50k per month in India ....for qualified & certified trainers 100k at least....thnaks for information in video dear Sir....really appreciate & agree with u.

Its sad to hear , I was going to different gyms and it seems in the name of a gym instructor there will be a person who comes and tell some tips to some people who go and ask basis , i experienced most of the young instructors come to gym to train their body not helping gymembers so they are not adding any value to members, but there are a very few good pro level instructors are there as well who knows the importance of help people to get trained who come there with their hard earned money and time.

Same thing happening with me.and gym owner was my brother. And my real brother use to pay half amont of personal traning session .and so monthly income.

Sad reality. I switched from corporate sector to this Industry. Got certified from acsm. I was in shock when they said they will only provide 8000/-pm for 8 hrs.
Sit thus senaio happen in every strem even though doc. Earning 10,000 monthly thats the main reason people migrate to abroad what i mean that quality is migrating.

Normal indian doesn't want to pay much for gym membership. So it's not a big moneymaking business.
This is all about market forces.
You can't do anything about it. Too much supply and too less demand.

Mera khud ka gym hai, 50 lakh invest karke monthly 1.5 to 2 lakh earn hota hai net revenue. To ab bataiye kya karu? Trainer ko 7000 pay karta hu. Aap hi bataiye kitna pay karu? 20thousand ? Without investment? Aur main itna invest karke 50,000 kamau?
& that's the really bro. Humare yahan jo Gym hai wahan log 500/ per month dete hai Gym wale ko. 12000/- per month rent hai Gym ki jagah ka + 5 lack investment kiya . Almost 20 morning mein & 20 evening mein aate hai . 40×500 = 20000/monthly. & Ab 2 saal baad unhone gym band kar diya . With 7-8 laks of loss . Ab aise mein trainer kaha se rakhe

keep slightly higher gym fees, and pay them good incentives on PT
@@WeRStupid if gym fess is increased from 1000 to 1300 or somewhat near 1500 maximum candidates would leave the gym. I understand ur thought. But without understanding the dynamics of every market u cannot give a single Verdict sir. Coz it wouldn't help anyhow. And here trainers are alloted for 4hrs time period. Seperate trainer for morning and evening. So i guess paying 7000 to trainers is justified. I love ur content sir❤️
Most gyms don’t pay more than 5k for 8 hours. You take 1 maybe 2 classes a day of 6-10 members each class. The members pay upwards of 3k per month. If you do the math, the trainers are bringing in 60k worth of business for the gym, this is apart from him representing your brand and helping your social media grow. The pay for certified coaches should start from 12k.

Yes, it's 100% true. This is also happening in Kolkata. I worked for two months in reputed gym they offered me the same, most of the gym in Kolkata offering same package and they also, give a targets of the selling supplements.
its not just fitness industry , every other industry is same. they offer hardly 7000 - 8000 for a month for new guys , while getting certificates in that field costs alomost 2 lacs of rupees to 4-5 lacs of rupees. its really disappointing and demotivating.
Sir thanks for the video. Sir Hotel industry k gyms k trainers ki bhi ye hi halat hai. Main ek bahut bade hotel brand me gym instructor tha. Maine vo job isliye chora kyo k meri manager roz mujhe cleaning and dusting karne k liye force karti thi and bolti thi k gym me guest handle nahi karna ha department k dusre kaam karna hai including cleaning, dusting, dustbin emptying etc etc. Shayad unko meri mazboori pata thi ke mere 2 kids hai and main job nahi chorunga chahe kitna bhi torture karo.
Leking maine apni quality ko back kiya as I am an ACE PT and vo job as a protest chori. I was the best multi tasking employee, guest used to be very happy with me, but my employer didn't respect humanity.

India is a poor country .....60% people don't even have one time roti to eat ......gym shy ND all Delhi Mumbai Banglore ke Audi Mercedes walo ka shauk hai......mere gym Mei bhi trainer ko 10000 milta hai aur PT 6000....but PT kittey lete hai 1-2-3 logg wo bhi bc 1-2 month ........bhikari nation hai......whey nakli.....gym farzi......supplements nakli.....anda plastic ka😆😆😆😆

This is Suprabhat sharma. This thing which u said everything happened with me also as being software engineer i was also having so much love towards Fitness And i did Fitness course frm one of institution but the way gym owner behavior was very dishartaning and yes about the payment also... There many gyms they don't provide payment also sometime. And i left the gym continueed as my early job which i was doing.
This is very sad reality about fitness industry😢
They don't even respect gym trainer i worked there around 9 months but the gym owmer never had one single word with us ....
