Trust me you, I know what you're talking about, OSA(obstructive sleep apnoea turning in bed and breathing was really intense mostly when had a cold, it's been 3 weeks after obstructing both adenoid and tonsils and his sleeping well now ,so it's the best thing you've done for your child, getting them removed will make it easy for him to sleep peaceful without snoring or breathing pauses.
