The investigation targets Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter, Veena Vijayan, her IT company, and several others. Official sources revealed that the Enforcement Directorate has filed a case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), intending to examine alleged illicit payments made by a private mineral firm to Veena Vijayan and her company. This move follows the registration of a complaint by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), a branch of the Union corporate affairs ministry. The Enforcement Directorate is expected to summon individuals implicated in the case for further inquiry.

The PMLA law is for stopping money laundering, ofcourse to prevent money used in terrorism, drug trafficking etc. hence there is no bail in these cases.

I’m afraid that there is little hope for democracy in India. It seems that all political parties have corruption issues.
