This has been my most mammoth video I've ever made and I loved every minute of it.
Come with me as I watch every Taylor Swift Tour movie and discuss things that worked and what I think could be improved.
I'm so impressed by her body of work and this project has been such a joy. I cried and smiled constantly. This is like the apex of this hyperfocus for me so thank you so much for clicking on this video.

During the Speak Now Tour, Taylor wanted to personalize each show for each city she visited, so for the surprise songs she chose to sing covers of songs by bands and artists from the cities she was performing in
Yeah, I remember reading that! I can't quite articulate why it feels odd to me for her to do it. It's a nice nod but it makes me think of how BLANKPINK covered a Kylie Minogue song in australia to connect with the crowd. It never really lands and we're there to see the artist, rather than have them appeal to us? But yeah, not sure how to articulate it haha. It's not bad, just feels a bit odd. But that's also a product of that time.
@@pastelsparkles_the surprise songs are her songs not covers.
For speak now tour they were all covers!
Drops of Jupiter and bette davis eyes live in my head rent free baby
BETTE DAVIS EYES IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!
That recording of the Red Tour really does the Red Tour dirty 😭 Taylor was sick during that show and it is pretty obvious, her best vocals from the Red Tour were from the Summer of 2013
Yeah that makes a lot of sense!!! Thank you so much for the suggestion. I’m so excited to watch it and enjoy the show 🥹❤️
Amazing to see a crowd watching instead of filming her in the early tours
Isn’t it wild!! Feels like a different universe to now
The Speak Now World Tour will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was my first ever concert, I got to meet Taylor, and we got moved to her second stage during that part of the show. I will forever be grateful for that experience 💜
Omg thank you so much for sharing this with me 🥹🥹 what an absolutely amazing experience 💜
Dang!!!! How did u get to meet her?
Fun fact. OWENN who opened for Taylor on Eras Tour, was her backup dancer on reputation tour (the King of My Heart lead) and was also the lead in the Lover music video.
THAT IS SUCH A FUN FACT OMG!! Thank you for sharing this!!
When i watch the red tour stitch it is really funny how her hair just goes from short and straight to long and curled in an instant lol
ITS SO DISTRACTING ISNT IT HAHAHA
Imagine us the last leg of the tour, she already cut her hair and give 1989 energy while performing for red tour. The chaos of the show.
@@afiefswift5403 ikr in the same way its so weird seeing a straight haired taylor at the end of speak now
@@afiefswift5403 there was one show near end of red tour where she had 1989 hair and sang a Speak Now song. Eras chaos
Enjoyed touring with you. Speak Now would be the tour I wish I could have experienced, it’s magical 🦋💜
Thank you so much 🥹 truly I can’t think of a more perfect thing than the Speak Now tour 😭😭💜
There isn't actually an official Red Tour concert film so the one you watched is just different videos recorded by the audience stitched together and why the audio is a bit wonky. Basically a fanmade concert film.
Yeah, you're right! I believe i mentioned that in the video. It's a shame they never made one but I also understand she had said at the time that making the videos takes away from the experience that the audience gets to have with her. Its a shame from an archival standpoint though
@@pastelsparkles_the red tour film wasn't made because the director had been apart of an S/A case so Al of the professional footage was scrapped.the only professional footage that can be found is the last time and red music videos on her CZcams channel and some channels have the professional recording of WANEGBT like the one you showed
@Kannah1989tv yeah that’s definitely been mentioned :( it’s so sad and disgusting
@@pastelsparkles_ the thing about the director being gross is true but there were never any plans to make a Red tour film. The gross director did do a music video for Taylor where he filmed her performing it live on tour but they dubbed the studio recording over it. That's where the rumor started. But they never recorded the whole tour.
I know others have already pointed it out, but the Red Tour recordings on YT are not comparable to the other tour movies... the professional recordings are sadly not available due to a controversy with the director so all that's left are blurry phone recordings (which give you a way better feel) and those more hd shots that you saw, with the worst audio takes of the whole tour for no reason 😅 it usually sounded perfectly on key and this tour was really a big step-up into a more slick, modern and mature direction which I personally love - it paved the way for her tours to come ❤
It doesn’t matter how many times people tell me, it always makes me so happy to read that Red was way better than what I experienced.
From everything outside of poor vocal recording and tech issues, the tour looked so fun and really highly produced so it’s a real shame that those videos just didn’t do it justice.
Thank you for taking the time to comment. It really means a lot
@@pastelsparkles_ thank you for making this video! i love watching people talk about things they feel passionate about ❤❤ especially when it's Taylor...
It was so special when I went to the eras tour, and my surprise song was last kiss and she played it on the koi fish guitar 🥹
NO WAY, YOU WONNNN 🥹🥹🥹🥹💜
Her concerts show clearly they spared no expense, I love how she loves her fans
100%!! She goes so far above and beyond for her fans
oh and for the 1989 tour, her stage being pretty much a literal catwalk made so much sense as she was in her model-off-duty era back then (+ cat reference hello?!) 😂 maybe you didn't notice it, but there is this infamous edit during the bridge of I Know Places where she is seemingly floating on stage for a second... noone seems to know why that one dancer was edited out lol
+ the alternative bodysuit for Wildest Dreams/OOTW was only worn very rarely (I only know of one show for sure), I think some people thought that it looked a little... "wrong" in a certain areas, resembling something very natural
Yeah that makes complete sense!! From an audience perspective it’s limiting but as a reference that definitely makes it more compelling!
Regarding the bodysuit issue, there're actually 3, on the first dates she used a silver-ish sequin one, and later on the first dates in Canada it was changed to the gold crystal one that we can see in the tour film. Regarding the third bodysuit, it seems to me that you are referring to the black one, and yes, you are indeed right, it was only used once on the tour, specifically on the second night of Cologne Germany.
Speak Now was when I saw Taylor live! 🥰 I forgot most of it so it was nice to relive it through this video.
Aaaaaaaaaaa that is so exciting!!!!! What a show!! Thank you so much for watching 🥹
i think this is the first time i've heard atw10 being referred to as "all TEN well" and you know what? i love that i think i'm gonna use that whenever i talk about the 10 minute version from now on
It’s so much quicker to say hahahaha. I first heard it from the queen herself Ally Sheehan, who is brilliant if you haven’t watched her!!
@@pastelsparkles_I KNOW ALLY!! My friend mentioned her when I told him about this and I thought "how funny that it's the two aussie Swiftie youtubers refer to it as all ten well"
tis the damn season was replaced by no body no crime in LA, I think. Its because it was when Haim were the opening act in Sophie Stadium so they probably decided to perform no body no crime together live during the evermore set.
Edit: Also the Eras Tour was filmed at LA so tis the damn season didnt got filmed
Oh you’re right!!! I completely forgot! Thank you so much for that insight 🥹💜💜
As a fellow gal who grew up in rads I was loving all the Taylor Swift came to Adelaide commentary- also the Guy Sebastian support act? Lol worlds collide!
Oh bless, I’m so glad my fun facts didn’t end up just being for me 😂😂 thank you so much
this video was so fun to watch bestie!!! ur literally my new comfort channel and this video deserves more hits fr
also YES im the same as you, i wouldve been too young unfortunately to witness the magic of the speak now tour but it really was something else...the emo kid in me also wishes to see haunted performed live (seriously how did she not break her neck with all that head banging??? her stamina is absolutely crazy)
andddd, i got lucky enough to go to the eras show in singapore! and yep mashup surprise song gang (i got foolish one x tell me why on guitar and this love x call it what you want on piano), i was really hoping for a speak now song since thats my fav album ever ever ever and AAHHHHH it feels like a fever dream now. best night of my life.
Yes!!! How did she do it! I couldn’t believe what I was watching HAHA.
OMG AMAZING SURPRISE SONG COMBO!!! Oh that’s so special. Thank you so much for sharing with me. I really appreciate it 🥹🥹💜
@@pastelsparkles_ looking forward to more videos from u in the future ily!!
We have been blessed by the big video
🙏🙏🙏 all for you
Not only did taylor invite the reporters to the rep tour, she invited them all to the OPENING NIGHT! absolutely savage move.
It’s the level of petty confidence that I aspire to. Literally the most iconic thing for someone to do, hands down!!!
Well as she should. Those reporters were saying so loud that the tour would flop.
The little girl in 22 is Bianka Bryant, Kobe's Daughter.
Yeah!! So cool! Obviously only for the movie, not each show but very cool :)
@@pastelsparkles_ she does give the hat away every show though
@LanderDevosefteling yes… I know hahaha
I remember the Speak Now special songs being so popular, like how the surprise songs are in the Eras tour now. We'd all wait for someone to post them on twitter/youtube and share it with eachother, so many great memories of it. It felt really cool that she'd personalize the show like that, esp for those of us from smaller places. The lyrics on her arm was the same way, usually it was a lyric from an local artist too.
I'm totally with you about the Red tour. SOG is my favorite Taylor song, and when I saw that recording for the first time I was sooo confused 🤣. Red had a cute set at the Eras tour though!
The red set is so fun at eras 🥹🥹
this was such a fun video!! i did this leading up to the eras tour too and it's so cool seeing the evolution! (also, crazy, im also from adl and went to sydney n4)
WAIT NO WAYYYY we’re basically twins 🥹💜💜💜
Your so underrated!
You’re so kind 🥹🥹😭💜
Loved this video 🫶 brings back so many memories from the tours.
I live in the Netherlands and my first TS concert was Speak Now in 2011. I recently rewatched all of my footage and made a small compilation of the concert (its on my channel). That concert was a stripped down version of the one you watched. No dancers, very simple stage and a small venue. I was able to stand front row for only +-€30,-. I don't mind that we didnt get a fancy concert. Back then I didnt realise that it would be the most raw/intimate TS concert I would ever experience.
After that I had pit tickets for the red tour (for +-€100,- and I back then thought this was very expensive for front row tickets😂 ) in London, and was absolutely blown away by all the dancers, the stage and effects.
I also went to the 1989 tour, which was also amazing, but the speak now and red tour are definitely my favorites.
In just two months I'm going to the eras tour and I cannot wait 🤩. 1️⃣3️⃣ Years after seeing her for the first time. I grew up with her music and concerts so I am so grateful to be able to go.
oh my god this is literally the most precious story!!! Thank you so much for sharing it with me!! I know you're just going to LOVE the Eras tour when you get to experience it for yourself. You absolutely deserve it after your dedication!! I would love to know what songs you get as surprise songs when your date comes around 😌
Aww thank you 🤗
Very interesting that your critic of the eras tour was very different from mine. I liked the transitions and costume changes. My only dud was delicate in the middle of reputation. That was such a drag in an absolutely electric era.
Oh did I make it seem like I didn’t like those things? I don’t remember saying anything like that and I went back over that section in the video and I can’t find what you might be referring to hahaha.
I just clicked on your video, and I’m not even two minutes in yet. But, as you’re talking about how long the process took and how long the finished product is, I’m sitting here nodding.
I saw her first Vegas show over a year ago, which was like the 3rd or 4th overall stop for the Eras Tour. As prep for the concert, I either listened to each album, or watched each tour. (Not every album has a tour video, so I had to make some adjustments.) but I did that over the course of a week. And I wasn’t taking notes or trying to create content.
So, since I’ve had a similar experience, I’m super excited to hear your perspective! 1, 2, 3, LGB!
Oh bless you!! That really means a lot to me! I really hope you enjoy it 🥹💜
The correlation between the circus and we are never ever getting back together is because the situation of that relationship was like a 3 ring circus in it's ridiculousness.
Righhtttt so it wasn’t something that she did when she was promoting it? Or is that just a theory?
I thought I heard her speak about it in an interview once but if not it's just a theory but I think it makes sense.
for info: ...the full Red Tour concert was NEVER actually recorded & officially released. The ONLY video that we got is fan made..from various fans shots & compiled as one..that's why Taylor's voice + some sounds DOESN'T SOUNDS right for lots of songs.. IF u watch carefully, there ARE very2 tiny parts that looks & sound REALLY2 good..which was ACTUALLY taken FROM Red official music video which was recorded either by Big Machine or Taylor's team for that VERY purpose (Red official mv).
We never know WHY they didnt make any official concert video for Red Tour.. Some sources said the supposed director for the concert video was charged for multiple sexual assult cases..while some others said that Scott Borchetta never intended to make one..
But IMO, they never recorded it becoz of the expensive cost. The Fearless Tour was recorded becoz they want to make the documentary / concert video (Journey to Fearless) to introduce Taylor to the world. Then they DID invest on Speak Now Tour. But the sale of live concert video + live cds for SN Tour was very low + streaming was at infancy during that time. So, i (think) it cost a lot to have the video production crew on multiple locations. IF u noticed, Fearless Tour & Speak Now Tour videos was shot on multiple locations. For example, the opening (bout 30 sec before Taylor appeared) for SN Tour was shot at Gillette Stadium + the background fireworks during Dear John + the ending tour fireworks.. Chicago is an indoor arena. + u also can see lyrics written on her hand changes few times as location they shot the video changes..
And i think, Taylor also learned about this expensive video production cost..that's why 1989 Tour, Rep Tour & Eras Tour was ONLY shot at ONE location (but multiple nights)..
* I actually went to Red Tour & her voice was great & the band was phenomenal..but u'll never get a good sound if captured it on handycam or phones..(if u watch any Eras tour live streams, u'll know what i mean..)
💙💙💙💙💙
Yeah I was reading that part of it was also her not wanting to take away the experience from the fans for whatever nights they were filming because there’d be a crew and her giving attention to the camera. She wanted to have a proper connection with the fans, which is very wholesome. But from an archival standpoint it is very sad haha.
But I’m so glad you enjoyed it when you saw it. It really is so special
Speak Now is objectively the best
YESSS!! 🤗🤗💜
i really enjoyed this video youre so funny! i also went to the same show as you :))
Oh thank you, you’re so kind!!
OMG YES, NO WAY!!!! WE WONNNNN
i watch Reputation stadium tour on Netflix and ready for it? was the best opening but i have to agree with you
There's just no better feeling than hearing that opening on that tour. It's so iconic, it's so high energy aaaahhhhh
hey its me lol. i just commented on your last video so im going back and watching your old videos because i never watched them because they were so long but now i really want to watch the long videos because i can enjoy them more. im actually not gonna watch thus one right now but i did skip to the speak now part because i wanted tot do this a while ago and i did fearless because it was on youtube but i couldn’t find the speak now tour ANYWHERE but the dvds i may buy it sometime but not rn so i guess im out of luck lol anyways i might watch this today but i will get back to you about it! ❤
This means so much to me, you have no idea!! I found a good amount of the performances on CZcams but never as one full video, so it makes it harder to piece together but if you follow the Wikipedia or wiki setlists, you can kinda build your own setlist!!
@pastelsparkles_ thanks ❤️
FINALLY
Fun fact: there was actually a State of Grace hat during the Red tour.
It’s so cute!!! 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Ya
Tis the damn season wasn’t included because the movie was filmed during shows where it was switched out for no body, no crime with HAIM. I’m guessing she didn’t want those performances to be on the film because they weren’t part of the official set list like tis the damn season was.
The Red Tour got robbed of all the spotlight! I remember waiting that the tour would be ON A DVD during by the end of 2013 as Taylor kept hinting at that all throughout her interviews and magazine cover stories. But then, the distributer of the tour had some child-abuse allegations thrown against them and she decided to pull back all the promo for the 'live version'/'dvd version' of the tour. Eventually, her team released it as a dvd with very limited number of copies and the tour was also for a pretty short duration when compared to her previous Speak Now and Fearless Tours.
This is the main reason why swifties aren't that 'passionate' about the Red Tour becoz for many years, there wasn't any way u could re-watch the tour becoz all CZcams videos that captured the tour were taken down on a regular basis.
That’s such a shame 😩😩😩😩 Red is so special. I wish there was a way to make it right now because I definitely think it would boost a lot of love for that era - not that it really needs that much help, but it would be nice haha.
@@pastelsparkles_Red as an album is so freaking underrated. Most swifties don't understand the actual magic and creativity behind the album. Red is more than just All Too Well, it has numerous hits and is a well-written record. Actually, Taylor has throughout tried to convey that Red is special to her, but swifties are so obsessed with 1989, rep, lover, speak now etc. that they neglect the incredible thought behind Red.
@RonyChatter 110%!!!! I think what I like most about it is how diverse the sound is. Which is why, despite my love of 1989, I do sometimes get a bit tired doing a full listen. Where Red’s strength is her giving so much. Its such a shame she also got insecure about that 😩 her songwriting throughout is just next level
@@pastelsparkles_So glad to have u as a fan of Red!😄 For years, I haven't seen anyone be so positive about the album and yet I always find the entire record so flawless. Thankfully, now that the swiftie community is 100x bigger than before, there are more people with common interests 😃❤
@@pastelsparkles_There are a lot of important changes that Taylor made during the promotion that she has been following up till now and they have worked perfectly. For example,
-She collaborated with Target, Diet Coke, Starbucks and many other popular brands. - She had a private album discussion/listening party for the first time which she followed up during 1989 and reputation eras.
-She performed at all major award shows and talent shows at the time like The Brit Awards, AMAs, X factor, Grammys etc. which created buzz for the album.
- She used her social media accounts like Twitter very effectively by posting regular pictures and inside info. She also had live video- conferences with us (i.e the fans) and communicated with her audience directly.
- By regularly getting featured on magazine cover-stories, she always managed to keep the attention around her.
And despite all these massive moments during the Red era, an average swiftie would be totally ignorant about the album.
This was my fav vid bc it’s of TAYLOR SWIFT I ❤ TAYLOR

I have Isabelle singing shake it off for 1989 and then cruel summer for Eras but I couldn’t find animal crossing versions of songs from the other eras because making animal crossing remixes died down by the time the rereleases and new albums came out for Taylor so they are all just KK Slider animal crossing songs that I thought fit the general vibe!
